I recently received some more Japanese imports. I scanned the box covers, posted them in the Collection Missing Games Thread, and Dracula68 was kind enough to add them to the site. Thank you, Drac!

I fired up the convenience store game last night and even though it requires a higher level of competence in the Japanese language than I currently obtain, I was able to successfully stumble my way through setting up a new store, stocking it, and scheduling staff for the week. After that, I watched it run on auto-pilot for awhile, as customers popped in and out of the store. Kinda neat. I'll probably enjoy it more once I have a better grasp of Japanese.
As for the GBC game: that is Kaijin Zona, AKA Phantom Zona. To explain it would be ... well ... just read the description for it on the following webpage:
http://nindb.clas-sicgaming.gamespy.com/dmg/bkz.shtml
(Due to GS's "forbidden .html" filter, you will have to remove the hyphen in "clas-sic" of that URL.)
The game has a pretty strange (usual for Japan) plot and does something pretty cool with the GBC infra-red port.
