My take on the situation: BEYONCE SHOULD'VE WON. I agree that Kanye's a git for doing what he did, but really, I hear where he's coming from. Single Ladies has been playing virtually 24/7 on MTV, and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like it; it HAD to have been more popular than Swift's song. But I guess when it comes to actually winning an award, it takes a little something extra to cross that line between winner and loser--a little something which Swift's song apparently had.
