Well the sermon at church today, and today being easter has made me want to write a poem about Judas.. the most well-known of the desciples.. and not for good reasons either. Judas is also the only desciple to be mentioned in the dictionary. Ju·das -noun 1.Also called Judas Iscariot. the disciple who betrayed Jesus. Mark 3:19. 2.a person treacherous enough to betray a friend; traitor.

Why is it that we only learn and remember the bad things/people? Anyways here goes.. idk how it will turn out because I'm making it up as it goes.

Judas.
Treacherous, Greedy, Filthy, Gluttonous.
All adjectives to describe.
Such an immoral man,
such a man to sell away his savoir.
To sell away his friend.
Judas.
Naive, Innocent, Unknowing.
Such a stupid man,
Such a man who did not know what he was doing.
How could you not believe your savoir would some day die?
Did he not forewarn?
Is he not human?
You only believe, how are you guilty?
Judas.
Admirable, Worthy, Commendable.
So strong a man that could betray a friend.
So strong a man that could betray what he believe in.
So strong a man to go against.
So strong a man to take two lives.
His own and his savior's.
Judas.

Judas does not only exist in the Bible, so who is your Judas and how to you see him?

Happy Easter Everyone.

I don't see Judas as evil necessarily. I think he was misguided, he was tempted by money and that this was a fatal flaw (remember that prior to the betrayal of Yeshua, Judas was secretly taking money for himself that he was entrusted with).

It is so hard to tell in these cases though--G-d sometimes hardened people's hearts in order to accomplish His purposes--how much of Judas' betrayal was freely chosen?

I'm gonna go ahead and guess everyone here will start referring to me as their Judas. Can't blame them, but I can always silence them before they spread these "rumours".
