So after beating GTA 4 a second time, I decided to finally try out the multiplayer. It's a blast! Started out in a free-roam player match with random people - man that can be such chaos, really great stuff. It gets boring after a while if you're just messing around on your own, but as a team I can see this mode being really really fun. As it was, I had a great time, so I can only imagine coordinated action.

Also tried out Deathmatch, Team DM, and Mafiya Work. The DM match I got into was rocket launchers only - that was interesting! At first I hated it, but then I got used to the tactics of rockets-only and ended up in 2nd place. Not bad!

Team DM is my favorite mode so far. It's basic and straight-forward, and a lot more fun that Saint's Row's Multi is, simply because the city is open to you and is alive around you. Plus the shooting mechanics are so much better in GTA 4. It's a chaotic frag-fest with good tactical aspects to boot.
