Since this is a happy day, i decided to write in a happy colors ![]()
i got my fearlessness necklace in the mail yesterday! i cannot tell you how uberly excited i was to read that i had a package waiting for me, because i knew it was my necklace! so my whole treck over to where the packages are delivered i was smiling (not unlike this
) and there was a certain spring in my step and i was just really glad there werent many people around because they probably would have thought i belonged on the short bus. haha.
but it came in this box that is like 6 square inches and i was like "this little thing came all the way to me in washington from the NYC" lol. then i cut her open and there was some nice red tissue paper so i pulled that out. and there was a pamphlet of the other organizations they do jewelry for, and a little bag that contained my necklace. so i opened up the bag and there is a little felt thing that had the necklace wrapped in tissue paper (which i was greatful for cuz i thought the chain might have gotten tangled in its ride with brown) and i took it out, admired it for a couple seconds, put it on, and officially dubbed myself fearless
(and they also gave directions on how to care for it, too) and a little card that simply says "thank you" -Me&Ro. and i was like "no, thank you". lol
and while i personally am not a survivor of sexual assault, my heart goes out to anyone who is, but this necklace is going to be a reminder to myself that i need to take more chances in life and not just take the safer path, to be a leader, not a follower, and not second guess myself all the time.
so here's to new beginnings...and being FEARLESS!
