Hey, I'm back once again. Time to update everyone on what I've been playing the last few months.
Gears of War
Ever since it came out in November, I've had Gears pretty much constantly in my 360. I've become a multiplayer addict. Mostly because the game is a lot of fun to play online, and also because of the achievements. So far I've gotten 40 of 49, with the last ones mostly being multiplayer based . I just got the Revive one, and now I guess I'll be working on Headshots and Pistol kills.
My one complaint about this game is that host has a terrible advantage over everyone else. In Halo 2 the host had a slightly noticeable advantage, but not enough to effect overall gameplay. In Gears, if you aren't host you have bullet lag. I've had it from 1/4 second all the way to almost one second. It makes shotgun battles seem random and unsatisfying and sniping almost impossible. But since the game is so much fun, I can overlook this downside.
Guitar Hero II
With my newly acquired PS2, this has been the one and only game for me. I've become quite the addict, and in doing so, I've also gotten quite good. I can play just about any song on expert, it's amazing at parties. I love love love this game.
So I've been watching some of the videos for Assassins Creed and I was struck by the fact that the lead producer for the project is a woman. And a hot woman for that matter.

Her amazing looks aside...
I think it is great to see a woman being the lead producer on a big
name title. I hope that when this game comes out and when it
(hopefully) becomes a success, that the media will sit up and notice
that the video game industry isn't totally male dominated.
I
think that it's great and she is an inspiration to female gamers that
they can be successful in this field and lead a video game project.
Not to mention that this game is looking better and better every time some new images or video comes out.
Ubisoft is the good version of EA, they produce quality franchises and when a new version comes, they actuall create a better game, not just update it.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Valve.
I don't care if I already have HL2 and Ep1 for my computer. I'm buying it again for my 360 because:
1) It will look FANTASTIC
2) Achievement points.
Nuff said.
This just made my freaking day.
