Living in the South, I'm used to hot, humid weather. Lately, it's been so hot and humid that we have a literal mushroom farm in our front yard. It's disgusting. Today alone I dug up about 100 mushrooms, and I'm not even exaggerating. They're not even the cute button mushrooms that you see at the grocery store. These mammoths are all at least 6 inches tall, and some of them can get to be about 6 inches in diameter. So gross!

What's so annoying is that by Wednesday, there will be at least 25 more. What is the deal?!

If they're edible, I guess it wouldn't be so bad.

I actually don't even know how to tell if they're edible. They smell like they are, but I'm hesitant to eat them. I'd hate to poison my family...

I hear you! They are popping up all over my garden in the backyard - no sooner do I decimate the population and the next day - they're back!!! I wouldn't eat the ones in my yard - one of my cats had a nibble and was sick for a few days - enough to keep me away!
