Morning all, welcome to the blog.

Well, I've done the Facebook connect thingy so we'll see what happens! I'm also glad that some of the site fixes are starting to filter through such as the missing TC emblems and so on. I'm about to do some cast submissions so hopefully the promised easier checkboxes will be in operation as they are so fiddly on the current form. It seems to have taken months and months to get these things done. I can't help feeling that time spent doing these things would have been more worthwhile than some of the redesign fiascos that have gone on in the last years. [End Rant].

As for what's going on here, the Under 9s cricket team my son plays for are going from strength to strength. They had a great match on Saturday, thrashing their archrivals in a thrilling local derby that ended with them winning by 134 runs - a record winning margin for the team. The great thing is that they will be meeting them in the quarter finals of the Cup this Friday so if they play as well again they should sail through to the semis.

I have also been enjoying using Facebook, making contact with friends old and new. I probably won't publish my comments from this site over there but am happy to meet tv.com friends over there for a chat/status update. Talking of chat, it comes to a pretty pass when I found myself using Facebook chat the other night to tell my daughter to go to bed when she was on the laptop in the next room! Good grief this must be taking web technology a step too far.

I'm a bit behind on my TV watching commitments (Big Brother is suffering at the hands of the Facebook distractions at the moment) but I will be making a concerted effort to catch up over the next day or so. I'm also behind schedule with sorting out GMTV Today but that's on the To Do List as well. I have also acquired the editorship for the current GMTV and GMTV with Lorraine show guides too, though I've been a TC on those two for a while.

Helen, congrats on the editorships. That's great! Haha, speaking of technology. I've actually texted my stepson when we've been home at the same time! LOL

I know things have got pretty bad technologically speaking. Not only am I guilty of using Facebook chat to tell my daughter to go to bed when she was only in the next room, but I have also texted her when we were both home together as well!

Let me know how the FB sync up works. Does that mean tv.com'ers will be seeing wall posts or just vice versa with the blogs?

Hope things continue well for the cricket team, seems like it would be very fun to watch them play. I've been neglecting facebook lately, I need to get back over there, it sure is a great place to be.

I actually like some of the ideas tv.com has come up with like not letting people rate episodes until they have aired. Congrats to your sons on getting into the quarter finals and good luck! I don't like Facebook, so I don't use it. Congrats on the editorships!

I'm avoiding Facebook for as long as I can Don't really fancy chatting to people I used to know from school! That makes me sounds pretty antisocial though... Congrats for the editorships, have a great week

Hey Helen, I was wondering about this Facebook connect thing too (I don't have facebook myself) I've been noticing that a lot more people have stupid gurning pictures of themselves as their icons rather than TV ones and I figured that was to do with facebook. OMG I'm happy your son is doing so well! Congrats on the editorships. You're level 51 now? wow.

If I ever get my life out the starting blocks I might enjoin facebook. Till then, I'm steering clear.

Sorry for the late reply but I've been away on vacation for a week. Good to hear the site is finally fixing some wrongs, I haven't had much time to notice about it for myself. Really glad to hear about your son's team sweeping others out of the field, hope their winning strike goes on. Hugs
