I start my first day of training for my Disneyland job this Friday. I have to be there at 7:30 am...ouch. I also have to wear business casual clothes. I hear we are touring the park as part of the training, sounds fun to me
I can't wait.
Just as my 360 started to collect dust due to lack of games to play, my brother bought Borderlands. I quickly snatched it and have been addicted ever since. I have almost just as much fun (well, actually sometimes more fun) playing alone as playing co-op.

The Claptraps have quickly become one of my favorite NPCs in a game. They bring me such joy and laughter.

I chose to be a Hunter. I like sniping (well, who doesn't) but what really drew me to that c.lass is the idea of having a pet. The animal lover in me just couldn't resist. Bloodwing may not be as fully formed and always around like the dog in Fable 2, but he does get his job done and I am pretty attached to the action skill.
In other gaming news, Legolas_Katarn was generous enough to gift me with Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. My mouth has been watering at the news of this title for over a year, I am so happy that I finally have my hands on it.

The cutscenes and overall graphics are great, for the DS. It is nice to hear voice overs every so often. The beginning was a little slow though, there were tons of tutorials. Total tutorial overkill. The Penny Arcade guys were right haha.

Having finished the tutorials in a little over an hour, the game is really fun. It has a good story, good graphics, pretty decent gameplay, and good music. The only downside is that it is on the DS. My hand cramps when I play for more than an hour, and the controls could have been so much better on the PSP. Oh well, I am a Kingdom Hearts fan and I'll take what I can get
Besides, it could be a whole lot worse...like Chain of Memories *shudders* So despite the DSness of it, I am so pleased with it, it has been competing with Borderlands for my attention (and so far it is winning).
Moving on, for Halloween, my friends and I usually head to someone's house and spend the night watching scary movies. This year was different. My friend brought her adorable son over so we could take him trick or treating. This was his first time doing so, it was so much fun to participate in. When we got to the first door, he knocked. When the lady answered he very clearly said "Trick or Treat" then dashed inside her house. We laughed out of shock, amusement, and embarrassment. Luckily the lady was very nice. We learned to hold him back once someone opens the door after that. ![]()

After a few blocks, he would look at me and say "hug!" What he really wanted was for me to carry him, so I happily obliged, as you can see.

When we got back, we went through his candy (since he is too young to eat most of it or even understand what was going on anyway). We then watched The Mummy (it was on tv) and baked pumpkin pie bites. Overall it was a great Halloween.
This blog is a lot longer than I intended...I guess I will wrap things up.
My birthday is on the 11th, and I am expected to have an idea of what I want to do with my friends. Anyone have any suggestions, because this is the first year that I really have no idea of what sounds fun.

Little kids can get some funny ideas. He will hate hearing that story again and again for the next forty years!
I love The Mummy. One of my all time favorite movies right there.
As for your bday, I really don't know what to suggest. I'm so helpful
Borderlands looks like a fun game. I am more interested in Dragon Age Origins.
As for your birthday, I can't really suggest what you should do. My birthdays are usually spent with family or some close friends and they're mostly quite quiet.
@Slyfur Ya, that is my thought on KH too, sucks that its on the DS, but hey, beggers can't be choosers
@hank_101 thanks! I hope training is as fun as I hear
@MJoanne Thanks, I am so excited, even though I'll have to wake up around 5 am
@Yagr_Zero I don't think I have ever heard anything positive about chain of memories until we discussed it. All I have read and heard was "boo". I used to watch the mummy over and over when it came out. I discovered I can still quote a majority of it along with the movie
@lightwarrior179 the fact that KH is a square enix game with real time battle and Disney elements automatically makes me interested. I have a lot of fun playing them. Groundbreaking gameplay is so not required for me to have a good time. I usually always have a plan for my bday. This year I don't feel like planning anything, but my friends wont let that slide...
@Sparda_13 Ya, that isn't me dressed up as minnie mouse, that is my friend. I am the one holding the kid in the last pic with the black boots and long hair. I don't think I have ever really brought up Disney before the last month or so, it is just hard to avoid now because of both getting a job at Disneyland and playing Kingdom Hearts. I was born in 1987 so I'll be 22, which to me isn't nearly as exciting as being 21 here, therefore I find myself not being into the whole "big celebration" thing my friends are expecting.
Legolas_Katarn
Yay, I got you a better present this time. Stupid DSness why do they have to put things on the DS and PSP?
Awww He ran in the house, that is funny.
