Well, the best job for me anyway Y'all know how I love horses (since it is in my user name after all) and thanks to my last blog, you know how much I adore Disney and Disneyland.

I just got hired to take care of the horses at

I got the call a few days ago but I am still amped. I submitted my application for "stable attendant" in late September, not really expecting anything (they weren't supposed to be hiring) and to my surprise a few days later I got an email asking me to schedule an interview. The first interview was horrible, I thought, but I miraculously got scheduled to do a second interview with the stable manager. At my second interview I was asked dozens of questions about horses, my experiences with them, what I knew about various diseases and ailments, behavior, etc. It was a little intense. A few days after that (last Friday, actually) I got the call offering me a position!

I go in to file paper work and get my badge and training info on Tuesday. I was told my first official day would be November 7 (that seems so far away!) I think I might have training before that though, I am not sure.

Disneyland has about 30 draft horses, which are the big ones. Think Budweiser Clydesdales, only the breeds they actually have are not Clydesdales. I will probably be starting out cleaning out the stalls and feeding, but hopefully I will get to groom, bathe and exercise them in no time. My ultimate goal would be to learn how to drive them down Main Street as you see in all these pics.

Disneyland also has a day kennel for dogs, though I hope I don't have to work that as much (you don't get to actually handle the dogs, otherwise it would be more interesting). They also have a small petting zoo with sheep, goats, a cow, and a turkey. My job responsibilities can extend to that too.

**Fun Fact** Disneyland gets the turkey that the President pardons every Thanksgiving.

This could be me soon!

Sweet. Hope the job goes well for you. I still need to find something I can enjoy... I don't want to work if I don't enjoy working.

Gamespot needs to tell me when you write a blog

I'm so happy for you that you got this job, I'm sure you will like it much more than I like mine. And you will have monies now. $$$ Yay. You will look adorable leading the horses in that. Even though people will probably worry and wander why the little kid is leading big horses around.

congratulations, you have been hired for your dream job, something everyone strives to do and is very lucky to do so in the end(only about 5% do in the end I think), excluding jobs like famous actor/singer etc... of course I hope we get to see more pictures soon with a smile on your face
