I finally got my claim paid by SquareTrade (a warranty company I strongly recommend) which means I had the ok to buy a new 360. As tempting as it was to fork over the extra $50 and get the discounted Elite, I decided that I really didn't have the money for that, especially since I didn't really need the Elite. I decided just to snag an Arcade instead. I noticed that this year's Arcade pretty much doesn't come with anything, but luckily last year's can still be bought from Amazon. I also learned that last year's are often the exalted "Jasper" chip models, so I was hoping I would get lucky by getting one of those.
The package came yesterday.

I was so excited, especially because I have never owned a brand new 360 before (my old one was a refurbished model from eBay). Shortly after opening it I scoured the internet for information on how to identify a Jasper unit, and sure enough, mine is. I have a new Jasper 360 and the free games that came with getting last year's offer. Double win!
I kind of wish the memory they included though was external and not internal. I am hesitant to use it because, while it is a Jasper, I know that doesn't make it 100% safe from any kind of breakdown. I am afraid that if I use the internal memory, at some point my 360 will break, and I will be screwed out of whatever was on it.
As for the games, I find the Sega Tennis game mildly entertaining, though all I really do during matches is constantly mash the X button and wait for the opposing player to miss the ball.

I haven't played any of Arcade games yet except for Feeding Frenzy, and I really enjoy it. I find it kind of relaxing doing all that swimming and avoiding and eating ![]()

In other news, the past few days I have been listing some of my Comic Con swag on eBay. I am pretty sure I am not allowed to link my page, but I see no harm in talking about a couple of the things I have listed, right?
Probably the hardest thing for me to list is the Street Fighter II minimates I got in 2008. They are adorable and look like little Legos, but I really have no use for them.

My best seller so far is a Hellboy comic that I thought nothing of. Apparently people want it, so that is good news for me, I just wish I had the foresight to grab more of them ![]()

One of the weirder items is a giant vinyl Supernatural bag. I don't know if it will sell, but I don't mind because it is actually kind of cool ![]()

The colors are pretty and it has good looking boys on it. Plus I used to like that show before I stopped being able to watch it.
I have maybe 10 or more other things listed so far, and I need moneys, so wish me luck! ![]()

@gerudoman320 I hope today too! No one should go without a 360 for too long
@Legolas_Katarn yup
@MJoanne Thanks! Happy gaming indeed
@MissMorphine You know, I actually might have two bags...if I do I wouldn't mind sending you one, and if this one doesn't sell then I can send you one no matter what, if you want to PM me your address.
good luck on the things you listed
I don't believe the arcade model has memory at all. That was why it came so cheap.
@Sparda_13 Haha, your version of comic con sounds awesome. It started as an actual comic book convention but now hollywood has taken over. You get tons of free stuff, you can rub elbows with celebs, and get sneak peaks at upcoming movies, tv shows, and video games. Oh, and there is still lots of comic book stuff
@Yagr_Zero The hellboy one is still at 7.50, but there are days left yet
Back on topic, that's a lot of swag you're selling.

Congratz for yah new 360, christ though so many models and 'jasper??' internal/external bleh...just another reason why i send the majority of my love to my ps3
And doesn't an arcade have like zero space available for games?
