I know Drea has a TON of friends here that probably wouldn't know to read my blog so I've copied & pasted it here...

Drea goes in & out of the hosipital a lot.  After a while you get used to it.  With her illness, it's almost a preventative maintenance type thing.  The Dr's gotta fix this before that happens, and fight this infection before that gets infected.  All the while knowing the infections will return, but they can be treated.

But when she was rushed to the hospital last night, it was different.  Her kids thought it was a heart attack, but the sharp pains in her chest and shallow breathing were instead, the result of pulmonary emboli - several blood clots in her lungs.  They did an MRI that showed many more blood clots in her legs and throughout her body.

As of right now, that's all I know.  I don't know what the prognosis is or how they're going to treat it or how she's feeling or if she's scared.  I don't know how her kids or her husband are doing.  I don't know how long she'll be in the hospital.  I don't even know if she wants visitors.  But I DO know she's gonna get one.  I'll be heading out this afternoon as soon as my oldest is back from school so I won't be around the site much either.  When I do hear more, I'll find a way to spread the word, but until then... Prayers, White Light, Hugs, Happy Thoughts, Eye of Newt... anything is welcome.
