Midseason Shows

I watch....a lot of tv. But hey, I like what's being shown. This fall a few of my shows have been axed, some are just getting out of repeats, and the reality shows are coming back soon.

So I've caught some of the new shows (or returning shows), and some I like and others are just......blah.

For example:
Jake in Progress:

John Stamos' two episode stint on ER was way overhyped. I wanted to see Uncle Jessie in a show I like. And with his comedy for ABC starting its second season I figured I'd give it a try. And other than Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me) coping with her pregnancy, this show wasn't funny....at all. So unless I'm utterly bored Monday's when this comes on, I'll steer away from this show.

Emily's Reasons Why Not:

Another horrible ABC comedy. Filled with unfunny cliches and some bad acting this was painful to watch.

on to what was an actually good ABC comedy;
Crumbs:

We see the return of Fred Savage (Wonder Years) as a screen writer in a slump. He returns home to Conneticut, where his mother was released from a psych ward, and his brother is manning the restaruant in the family.

Jane Curtin is hilarious, and the guy that plays Jody is very funny as well.

The only problem is that Savage's character as the closeted gay son seems unnecessary to the show. It just didn't add anything special to the pilot.

And a show I thought I'd never watch was Dancing with the Stars.

When it came out in the summer I thought it would be a hokey way for ABC to get some ratings. Never watched an episode, although I was glad 'Peterman' got second. But instead of watching re-runs this Thrusday I gave it a try. And I liked it. :0

So apparently ABC's been attracting me with its new shows, although very few midseason shows are out yet. Hopefully Love Monkey won't be as horrid as Reasons *shudders*
