Greetings, Everyone! Well, it's official! I'm now officially a part of the Catholic Church. Last night's ceremony was the most beuatiful thing I have ever seen in church, and it was an amazing honor to be a part of it.

First there was the lighting of the Easter flame in the repository of the church. Then there was 3 readings by the flame's light. After that, everyone proceeded into the main part of the church in complete darkness, and began to sing the Gloria hymn, during which the lights were turned on. That part was so beautiful and symbolic. After that, there 2 members of my RCIA group were baptized, and then we were all Confirmed together and then recieved Communion. There was so much beauty to the whole ceremony that it's really hard to find the right words to even begin to describe it. So instead, here are some pics that my mom took during the evening.

me 2 I know these are small, the originals I have are MUCH better.

On a parting note, let me first say that I hope everyone's Easter is very happy and blessed, and please enjoy the pictures, especially the one below, of my saint, Mary Magdalene, and enjoy the SONG I picked out for this day.

Happy Easter and congratulations, Gabriella!

You know, for some things there are no words and that's OK. Mother Mary kept many things in her heart too. The song is beautiful and perfect touches the heart. God Bless you and thank you for sharing this beautiful ceremony with us.

Some protestant churches, in an effort to distance themselves from Catholicism, have done away with all ceremony. I think some ceremony is significant. The service I attended was very different from yours, but still wonderful and God-blessed. I'm glad you had a great Easter day!

IM: I agree, ceremony gives a certain special quality to church, that I believe, brings us even closer to God. I'm glad your service was lovely. Happy Easter.

Congratulations. It is the Church that Christ Himself founded, and the mother of all other Christian denominations (with the possible exception of the Orthodox Churches, which could be called sister churches). I was on the verge of leaving the Church as a young man until I learned of this. Welcome aboard. May you grow in faith.

Karl: Thanks x2!
Ester: Yes, it was very amazing being there. I'm glad you liked the pics and song!
Tvking: Thank you so much. That's a very nice story. Thanks for sharing. One of my best friends is part of the Orthodox Church, and she also said that it and the Catholic Churches are indeed like sister churches.

I'm commenting from MT so that I can get on to a more 'holy' level over here.
