Exam TIme Again

And so it is with the British education system, that once you pass one set of exams you've been working on you're whole life, you pass into two more years of yet more 'learning' for examinations.
Thats right, it's AS Level time, and I'm so fed up with it all. I have sat at home all day going over poem, after poem, after poem, in preparation for my English Literature exam on Friday, to the point where I never wish to read a poem again in my life, at least for the forseeable future. What kind of education is this, in that we are forced to swallow interpretations and opinions in order to attain 'marks'? It is sad to think that the process of learning these days has turned into nothing but a cold hearted process, where the student is dictated to, and learns only to pass a measly exam for a future that can apparantly only be successful if such exams are passed at high grades.
It's too much pressure. Kids these days really don't get a chance to take a breather, to learn for themselves, and explore the world in a way that interests them.
They say you learn a new thing every day. At this rate, all those new things are forgotten once you've sat the exams that you've learnt them for.
But good luck to all of you throughout your exam period, at the end of the day if you put the work in you shall succeed. But if you do find yourself struggling, try to remember that life does not require an A grade in English Literature...that's what I keep telling myself.
