Just felt like writing a review on an awesome album...Grinderman. Released in March this year. This self-titled debut album from Nick Cave and his cohorts Warren Ellis, Martin Casey and Jim Sclavunos from The Bad Seeds is rougher, hairier and more raw than some of The Bad Seeds recent work. Written while on the Abattoir Blues Tour as a side project, the sound is raw garage rock, it's dirty, primal and....Nick Cave on electric guitar...what more do you want?!
Opening with the scratching guitar noise and Nick ranting about black dogs, baboons and motherf**kers, sets the tone for this agressive and hilarious album that some might say resembles Cave's earlier work with The Birthday Party. The strength of the first track, "Get It On" is backed up by the hilariously hot "NoPu$$y Blues". With haunting songs like "Electric Alice" and "Man In The Moon", this album will satisfy any Cave fan... any out there now
? Nick Cave and Grinderman are touring in October! I've got my ticket! So..."kick all the motherf**kers out and, GET IT ON!"
