Gaming...many people nowadays imagine games as bloody gun games and whenever they see a non-gory game with not a very big amount of detail they just avoid it. This fact makes feel somewhat uneasy sometimes...but I don't really care because it's not affecting me in any way is it.
But there is one thing about some gamers that pisses me off....
I'm a type of a guy who tries not to overrate or underrate something, be it a game, movie, TV show, anime, soccer player or whatever. An example would be Iron Man. I know some people liked the movie but in all honesty, I didn't like it one bit. It had no good story, it was derivative, expected and flat-out cliche to the fullest. The only good part about it was the special effects. I'm not saying it's a bad movie because some people did like it but I certianly don't consider it a quality movie; there are countless other better movies.
Ok lets go back to gaming....I can safely say that without Nintendo, gaming would've been nothing, absolutely nothing. Nintendo = Gaming. If a there exists a gamer who never played a mario or zelda game, I can say he is no lucky gamer. Mario and Zelda are games the purest definition to games. They deliver what's most important: Pure joy and a lifetime experience - something not all games deliver. Nintendo does this the point of perfection almost everytime plus all the other neceassary features to make a game a masterpiece. Just look at some of the games they created:

-Super Mario World.
-Super Mario Bros. 1, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3.
-Super Mario 64.
-Super Mario Sunshine (not that awesome but it still a great game).
-Super Mario Galaxy.
-Donkey Kong Quest 1, Donkey Kong Quest 2, Donkey Kong quest 3.
-Donkey Kong 64.
-Zelda: Ocarine of Time.
-Zelda: Majora's Mask.
-Zelda: A Link to the past.
-Zelda: Wind Waker.
-Zelda: Twilight Princess.
-Metroid.
-Metroid Prime.
-Metroid Prime 2.
-Metroid Prime 3.
-Super Smash Bros.
-Super Smash Bros. Melee.
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
And many many many many many more. Can you imagine platforming without Mario 64? Can you imagine adventuring without Ocarine of Time? Can you imagine gaming without Nintendo? Well...I sure as hell can't.

[Super Mario 64, Zelda: Ocarine of Time. Easily of the best games of all time]
They may not had their best year last year or this year but they will prove themselves soon enough with their ingenuity and intuitivity (a real word?) and, of course, Miyamoto.
There are other amazing games as well of course. Final Fantasy, Halo, Half-Life, Gears of War and more.
All I'm saying is that I feel that Nintendo sometimes are being underrated and underestimated. Nintendo are the best in the gaming world, you know it, he knows it, I know it.
Comments
Nintendo started gaming its self, other gaming companies really are just following the path they started, even if they do not do it as well.
