Finally...I have the will now to write this blog about my no.1 anime. Sorry guys for the delay but I was kept busy in the past months as I had to study my *** off and hang out with friends.

1) Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

As some of you might recall, Death Note was my number 2. I never really thought that I'd prefer an anime or show over Death Note but....Code Geass is here to neglect that thought.

When I watched the first 2 episodes of Code Geass I immediately knew it would be an amazing anime, but I never knew it would be so amazing that I'd put it number 1 over the likes of Death Note, FMA and Naruto.

My choice of no.1 was surprisingly easy because the moment I watched the 50th and final episode it struck my mind instantly that it's the best. Code Geass is easily the best for a number of reasons. The reasons are :

1) Story (Read Synopsis Here)
The story in Code Geass is absolutely mind-blowing. It's not as deep as FMA's story but this is actually a good thing because in Season 2 the story starts passing by pretty fast. It's not that deep but it doesn't mean it doesn't have the twists and turns you'd want. The story is has twists and turns that are so huge that you might feel dizzy at some point. Another very strong point regarding the story is that there isn't exactly a 'good' or 'bad' side. Every character does what he does for his own good reasons, so it's up to who to side with. Another very very strong point in the stroy is how it's unpredictable. If you say that you "knew" that something was gonna happen you can just go f*ck youself.

2) Genre(s)
Code Geass is ultimately a combination of every genre that comes to mind. Action, check. Mystery, check. Comedy, check. Drama, check. Mecha, check. And it almost perfects every single one of them.

3) Characters
The characters in Code Geass are one of the most interesting you'll ever see in anime or show. Lelouch, the main character, is enough to prove my point. He's got the brains of L from Death Note and the cunningness of Light from Death Note and the determination of Edward from FMA. This is just one character, imagine a whole bunch of awesome, completely different characters. But of course, there are some annoying characters that you just want to kill youself

4) Ending
Wow....words cannout and will not be able to describe the epicness that is Code Geass's ending. The perfect way to end an already near-perfect show. In the 17.5 years I lived, I have never shed a tear while watching a show, anime, movie or playing a game. Code Geass's ending was the closest thing to make me do so. Believe it or not, I still didn't get over the ending....unbelievable. It is dramatic, emotional, 100% non-cliche and is impossible to predict. Again, if you claim that you "knew" what was gonna happen in the ending, you can seriously go f*ck yourself.I will warn you though, if you're the type of personwho likes "Happy" endings or is weak-heartedthen don't watch the show...it'll destroy you!

5) Soundtrack
If there's one word to describe it, its this: MEMORABLE. You will for sure want to download the soundtracks and you WILL remember them and you WILL want to hear them again and again.

To put it simply: Code Geass is the best of the best of the best. Please do yourself a big favor and watch it! If Code Geass isn't a must-watch then I don't know what is!

Thanks for reading

(NOTE: I give my gratitude to alidallal for he is the one who informed about this awesome show. Thanks a lot man, you can't imagine how much I appreciate it)

Pretty good anime. I've already known about it for about a year now. The best season was defintly R2. R2 had beeter stuff, my favrotie event was the revealing of "Lancelot Albion". That's a good damn knightmare. Ive always loved that nightmare. The charcters are good as well, detailed, and well thought off. My favorite is CC and Lelouch, most likley i like C.C. more though...pretty good countdown if you ask me.

Never heard of it sadly.

@Thug2Wasteland: Ya R2 is defenitely better, more action and more events happened in it. My favorite part was the ending, no doubt about that. C.C is one of my favorites but Lelouch is my top character. And thanks man

@mitu: Now that you've heard of it, try it!

@hebri: Hells yes, most of the time C.C. has been my favorite because she looks good lookin lol. You have a favorite knightmare?

I too loved Code Geass. The ending made me very sad though and although it completed the story, I still felt it left me hanging. I dunno towards the last episodes it felt like they were rushing things. Although, I felt less sad after I saw that theory on youtube that said Lelouch was still alive.

I personally saw the ending of Code Geass coming cause at first I thought that would have been the ending to death Note.

*SPOILERS*

which I think it stunk cause at first I saw a minuscule possibility that light wouldn't go TOTALLY insane and in the end do the right thing but instead he got the reality check of a lifetime and got himself killed because of a technicality and ended up being the shmuck who tried to play GOD *END SPOILER*

@Thug2Wasteland: ya C.C is good looking, agreed Favorite knightmare..hmm....probably the Lancelot Albion because its the strongest but I hate the pilit

@TwilightSoldier: ya I agree that at the end they were rushing things but somehow I managed to catch up but the ending "explained" Lelouch's strange behaviour at the end so its all cool Yo I felt less sad too when i heard of that theory, which actually made a lot of sense

@Neo_Ike: I never really had any hope of Light doing the right thing after seeing what he did in the show...but at times I never thought he'd me caught...

@hebri: Hells yeah, but that knightmare is truly one amazing tool, espacially at teleporting. Imagine if the knight of one used albioh? .....Toopro....
Posted Jul 26, 2009 3:58 am PT
@Thug2Wasteland: Suzaku is the Knight of Zero....so....
Posted Jul 26, 2009 7:29 am PT
@hebri: When I said "knight of one" I meant Charles's knight; Bismark. That would be interestin to see...

How can they have mechs in 2009? This story is a tad ridiculous. At least macross sets up the purpose for all of their advanced robot mecha. The destroids and veritech fighters were a result of the SDF-1's crashing on earth in 1997 but it took ten years to restore the ship and around five to eight years to prefect the VF-0 and the VF-1 veritech fighters.

@hebri: I didn't think he would be caught I thought he'd see the true evil that he had become and done the right thing for mankind, instead of giving into his own greedy desires, and yeah, also didn't expect the technicality

@Iffy350...umm....if u pay attention at very beginning of the show, it says that the incidents aren't in 2009 they're in the future. And even if did happen in 2009, how in the world is is going to make the show worse or better?

@Neo_Ike: wow you really thought that way? I never really did cuz honestly I hated him, especially after he killed L...L is one of favorite characters ever and watching him die made him hate Light to the extreme....but that doesn't mean Light isn't an interesting character...he's genuinity speaks for itself Man I miss the Death Note days
Posted Jul 26, 2009 12:54 pm PT
the reason why I gave that possibility to light is the fact he started with honest intentions in the beginning but was slowly consumed by the facade that he created in his head. but still, seeing the story unravel the way it did was rather interesting (Ryuk reference ) I respected L but never liked him for some reason, N on the other hand, really surprised me, he has an incredibly good eye for detail and the fact he used M as his advantage over light was overwhelming. though watching L's death really made me sad for some reason, you could see that he knew his time had come but he still managed to keep a cool head even in the end

Sadly as u probably know i havent seen that anime but its on my long list of stuff to watch
Posted Jul 26, 2009 5:07 pm PT
@Neo_Ike: Ya Light wasn't that evil at the beginning of the show but after a couple of episodes I knew he'd kill anyone for his plan, espeically after he killed all those FBI agents...after that I hated him with passion. L on the other hand got my respect instantly, when he tricked Light on the Television. N....I kinda liked him because he resembled L in some ways and he really impressed me at the end as well.

@murat: at least its on the list, you'll thank me someday What's your list anyways maybe I'll find something I'll like.

Not an anime watcher but the mention to the score surprised me since I am a huge fan of soundtracks. Hugs
Posted Jul 27, 2009 1:03 pm PT
deja-vu, haven't I seen this before
Posted Jul 27, 2009 2:49 pm PT
@boom-moo: Well....the soundtrack did have a noticeable role espeically at the end of the episodes. Code Geass is an example of how soundtracks can make a show better
@alidallal: haha you did Just wanted to make sure you get the credit thats all
