I have to admit, I wasn't expecting many of the things that I saw today at the Nintendo Conference, but here are my feelings towards the entire thing. Yes, I am FREAKING PSYCHED about the announcement of both Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M, and also interested in New Super Mario Bros Wii. Also the fact that they're both coming out in 2010, fastest time lapse between 2 3-D Mario games. I am pretty disappointed, though, at the lack of more Wii exclusives for the next 2 years, especially the lack of both a new Legend of Zelda for Wii and Pikmin 3. Hopefully, they'll surprise us at the end of the 3 day event with both of those, as well as some new exclusives, but until then, I'd give this conference a B-.

Am I the only one who expected there would be no zelda? The DS zelda is the zelda of 2009, a wii one will come in 2010 or 11. I have to agree with you on alot though, im freaking psyched and i wanted to at least see pikmin 3.

Tokyo Game Show will probably be the place to announce Zelda and Pikmin.

Expect both Zelda and Pikmin 3 to be shown next year. Right now, as far as Zelda goes, Nintendo is focused on Spirit Tracks.

It was a great conference!

Pierst179: Normally, I would've agreed to your statement about Zelda there, but Nintendo is working on 2 Mario games at once, so I really can't see why they can't do the same for Zelda. Also don't forget, back in the days of Twilight Princess, at the same time, they were working on that and Phantom Hourglass.

Miyamoto says that we may be getting a new Wii Zelda title in 2010. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get an announcement for it during the conference, but at the same time it's a good thing. I'd rather them show us an explosive gameplay trailer next year and announce that'll be ready for Fall.

true, can you imagine getting Mario, Metroid, and Zelda released at the same time. That'd be EPIC!

Funny you should mention disappointment at the lack of Zelda Wii and Pikmin 3, because they both exist. Neither are far enough in development yet to be shown, though. Pikmin 3 team is pretty small right now, it'll probably get bigger next year. Zelda Wii is being aimed for a 2010 release but it doesn't sound very far along yet. Check out the article on GameSpot about Miyamoto at E3.
