Recently I came to a stunning realization about myself. What is this you may ask. Well I discovered that I am an introvert and that I am actually in a minority. Most people that you meet everydayare extroverts. But what does this mean, it means that I finally understand why I never seem to fit in around my extroverted friends and why I tend to act differently from everyone else I know.

Here are some guidelines to help you if you wanted to know if you are an extrovert or an introvert.

Extroverts usually enjoy being around others, in fact, they get energy being around others. They seek out excitement and variety in their lives. They cannot stand being alone and will seek out social interaction. They are considered outgoing andtalkative. They express most emotions freely without thought. They tend to speak or act before thinking, or they will think while talking.

Introverts on the other hand enjoy being alone. They do not always need social interaction and in fact being around others actually drains an introvert's energy. They don't mind being quiet and seek out familiarity in their lives. They usually keep things to themselves, such as emotions or comments. They don't like to engage in pointless small-talk, but rather enjoy conversations about ideas, emotions, or information. Introverts need to think before talking and often falter when put on the spot. Introverts are considered sometimes to be loners and shy.
