So, hopefully everybody knows about Microsoft Xbox-360: HD-DVD player.  And the most important question surrounding it.  “How much will it cost?”

    Well, currently on the market there are four HD-DVD Players (that I know of…) They are Toshiba HD-A1 (street price 450), Toshiba HD-XA1 (High-end model, Street price 600), Toshiba HD-D1 (Walmart model, street 500) and RCA HDV5000 (street 500).  All of these player are out now…except the Walmart model (release this fall).  So, what makes a HD-DVD player…a player?  In the Toshiba HD-A1 model…a PC!!! Yes, that is right…a PC!! Inside there is pc running Linux with a Pentium 4 processor and a HD-DVD drive attached to it.  It’s a bit shocking, but it shouldn’t be…think about it.  You put in a disk, then the player takes the compressed video off the disk, then decompressed it, run it through algorithms (advanced scaling, motion adaptive de-interlacing, and image composition with pixel-based alpha blending and colorimetry) and the UI (IHD, which will give you this cool user interface…way better then old DVD menus) and FINALLY to the screen. The Toshiba model lets the Pentium 4 and its chips set (Video Processor) do all the work.  Not that hard…I think…?

    Okay, so if my Xbox 360 is the “power house” then all I need is the drive…right!! So lets have fun guessing what the price should be!  Over at Major Nelson Radio Podcast, Major asked Albert Penello about the price, he replied “Here's the truth, we're still thinking about it. Here's what I can tell you for sure, it's going to be the cheapest HD-DVD player you can buy...without a doubt, when it comes out," he said. "Everybody is very enthusiastic with the direction we're going. There's still a few surprises left. I don't want to spill the beans yet, but I think people are going to think it's a great value.” Thanks Major and your hard work!!

    So, its going to be the cheapest…okay…I think I got a price!! The cheapest player right now would be the Toshiba HD-A1 at $450 “clams.” So, easily the add-on will be less then $400...but that is still to much.  But really…I just need the drive right?…so I guess less then half.  Which rounds the price down to $200 dollars!! So, altogether 360 ($400) and the HD-DVD drive add-on ($200) that is a total of 600 dollars…which is great cause its as much as the Sony Playstation 3 (High End model).  But Albert Penello said there is some “few Surprises left” That leave me thinking…will they bundle it with a movie or Maybe with a peripheral (hopefully with the “vision camera”….but maybe not…dunno).  Hopefully, they drop the price down even further…150 maybe…I hope!! Or a bundle to justify the 200 dollars price tag.

WOW…I just cant wait…I would love to hear the price!!! Cause the image quality is to die for…Goodfellas in HD is so F*^$ing amazing!!!

Okay....i have been a flake here and there..but im back for a just a little while..Just to talk about "PANDORA"

For the music freaks out there looking for stations like Yahoo Music and Rhapsody...or something.....Like that!!!...........look no further!!!!

So what is the big deal... Okay here is a list (this is compiled from other experience from other places)

1. Its really cheap...only 3 bucks a month....
2. THERE IS NO ADVERTISEMENT ANYWHERE....(EVEN IF YOU DONT PAY)
3. Then it finds other band that you might like by the sound (or the rythem of the song) Not by what other people also listen too!!!
4. You will find so many other bands faster then...anyother place!!
5. Its so easy and so smooth...this is the best out of the bunch!!!
6. Then its a easy transition to itunes to buy the song

That is it really.....CYA!!!

Wow, its been 5 yrs since the XP first showed up......with beautiful window and funky icons.  But now we have Vista........Finally!!

I've been waiting for an update for some time.......not just a simple upgrade......i need a complete over haul.........cause i have three computers.  One is a simple compaq (the one in need of a overhaul), then my custom power rig.....which only needs a quadro 4 1400.....then my Mac......which i love......but i wish it was like my windows (where i could play games and have fun)........but i wish my windows was like my MAC (where my computer works hard with programs like adobe....and security)..........SO!!!!!!

Now there is vista.........my OS Hybrid........i heard nice things and bad things..............So i'm going to get it update my pcs and hope it ride the lines of MAC OS..(tiger).  I hope its has the potential to be advance and ready to handle HD videos and Programs like MAYA 7.0 and After Effects 7.0........cause my power house is doing good with just the hardware.......cant wait till the OS can be more knowledgeable with what material im using. 

Also the DX.10...........wow...........this one i cant wait..........i want a new quadro.......1400 with SLI.....but if DX10 comes out with Nvidia showing off.......new hardware.......and lowering Prices...........then i could easily get a 1400 or maybe something better.........simply put it..............Que Vista....es la Vista..........
