I got free passes to Gencon late Friday (which is a pity as they were for all four days and it started Thursday) but I got to go to my first convention. For those that don't know Gencon is a gaming convention held in Indianapolis. When I say gaming I mean table top RPG's, and Trading card games mostly. Though I did get to play an awesome demo for Dragon Age Origins (and a much less awesome demo of Dante's Inferno). On the downside parking cost $28 between the two days. On the upside I got about $40 worth of free stuff. Got two starter deck of Magic the Gathering for free, and some other not as nice goodies for free. Got to play battletech (mechwarrior 4 in a cockpit setup) and kicked ass. Got to see all the cosplayers and such and had an all in all great time.

@Vari I was not a cosplayer. As for Dante's Inferno I just never liked the idea in the first place. Its not a story I would have green lighted making a game off of. It would have taken an extremely stellar demo to convince me otherwise.
@bruno Really I wasn't a fan of tcg's until then. But now I played a few games of MTG and I'm hooked.

Well I think the subject matter of it is...interesting, to say the least. I'm just surprised for how much hype it has.

I mean its interesting for sure, but I don't like the way it is being handled.
