GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con
Friday, Oct 26, 2007

Well sometimes i feel that gamespot is a bit too late in getting reviews out too late out to the public. The reason why i say this is that i saw an issue of Game Informer and it had already reviewed the most anticipated game of this year which was Mass Effect. It was early october when i saw this and it made me think why am i paying extra when this mag could get me what i want sooner? I know that gamespot has some great qualities like videos and videos by you gamers. And shows and stuff but why not review game sooners? PLz let me know.

That's because magazines require exclusives to survive, and Game Informer being the prestegious magazine that it is, can throw its weight around to garner the Mass Effect exclusive review. It's generally not a good idea to trust reviews that appear far before the game is released - you always have to think about the shady undertones that such a thing implys.

I rather a company review a retail release then one tailored for review. Let them review whats on a shelf not something specially delievered to thier offices.
