Maybe "over it" is the wrong phrase to use when it comes to Clark and Lana from Smallville. I was never a huge fan of them anyway, but I knew Lana was Clark's high school girlfriend, so it was a) inevitable that they'd get together, and b) inevitable that they wouldn't work out and break up. So why, nearing the end of the SIXTH season and Clark's second year in college, is this show heading in that direction again?
Their relationship was done wrong from day one. Everyone, no matter how little you know about Superman, everyone knows that Clark ends up with Lois and that they're the loves of each others lives. So why TPTB of Smallville ever thought that they could make an epic love out of Clark and Lana... I just don't get it! And why they also went and had Clark be in love with Lana his entire life! How on Earth would Clark and Lois work after that? She knows it's been all about Lana, she's seen first hand his all-about-Lana-ness. And Lana isn't even that great of a character. Sigh. If they do too much more of this, then I will have to quit this season and watch it on DVD. They are much less frustrating on the DVD experience than they are on the week-to-week experience.
