September 15th, 1 year after the war

Sandy and Zuko were walking to Aaron's when the passed the recently, unofficially opened (Kep wanted to have a celebration to officially open it) ice cream shop. They heard two men arguing inside and they took a peak. Aaron and Kep were the ones arguing. Aaron was freaking out and Kep was frustrated trying to keep his store together.

Aaron: I close up and go home and in one night you busted a hole in my wall!

Kep: That is not a hole! That is a window!

Aaron: Exactly! A giant window! Looking into my diner! You can see into my entire diner! And when I look over, I can see into your stupid store!

Kep: Now, what makes yours a diner and mine a stupid store?

Aaron: For example, I'm not dressed up as a human candy cane!

Kep looked down at his red and white striped suit.

Kep: Well, at least I don't look like a spectator at some sort of skateboarding competition.

Aaron: You think if there was a skateboarding competition within spitting distance of this place I'd be here?

Sandy: Uh...maybe we should come back later.

Zuko: Yeah.

When they did go back, Aaron had calmed down alittle. They sat down at the counter directly across from Aaron and tried their best to look pitiful.

Aaron: ok, what do you want?

Sandy: Well, you know Kep's store is open.

Aaron: I know, I see.

Sandy: We know you think it's dumb but it's a real kiddy place Toky's a kid. And um...we wanted to tell her that I'm pregnant and we thought it would be nice if we got her some ice cream and...

Aaron: And you want to take her to Willy Wonka's over there.

Sandy: Well um...Zuko?

Zuko: Well, yeah. We wanted to make sure that was ok with you since you hate the place so much.

Aaron: Well, that's what I over-charge his rent for.

Sandy: So, is it ok?

Aaron: Well...

Sandy: And just so you know, I'm pregnant and overemotional so if you say no, I'll probably cry.

Aaron: Fine. He's going to have to pay his rent somehow.

Sandy: Thanks Aaron!!

Sandy practically leapt over the counter and hugged Aaron.

Aaron: no problem.

After the night of Aang's party, where Poppy took care of Jian and everything seemed ok, Ursa let Poppy babysit from time to time.

Poppy came through the door with Jian in a stroller. Ursa was waiting in the living room waiting for them.

Ursa: You're five minutes late! I've been worried sick!

Poppy: I'm sorry, but I think you'll feel better when you see why.

Poppy lifted his sleeve revealing a black skull tattoo.

Ursa: *gasp* OH MY GOD!!! MY BABY HAS A TATOO!!!

Poppy: Don't worry, its henna. It'll fade.

Ursa: But it's a big ugly skull and it's on my baby's arm! You didn't even ask for my permission! How could you?!

Poppy: Well I took you as the kind of person who likes surprises. Excuse me!

Sokka came out of his room.

Sokka: What is going on? People are trying to mope in here.

Ursa: Poppy gave Jian a tattoo!

Sokka: Cool let me see.

Ursa: Cool?

Poppy displayed Jian's arm proudly while Sokka took a look.

Sokka: He, I think he looks cute.

Ursa:

Sokka: But I am wrong...

Sandy & Zuko picked Toky up from school. They were just about to step inside the ice cream shop when Toky ran over to one of the windows and pointed at a poster.

Toky: Look mommy, it's you.

Sandy went to look at the poster to see a picture of herself with a crown drawn on her head and calling her the "Ice Cream Queen". Sandy gasped then ripped the poster down.

She marched into the ice cream shop and held the poster up to Kep's face.

Kep: I see our Ice Cream Queen has found her poster.

Sandy: And she's wondering how she became the Ice cream queen.

Kep: You've always been the ice cream queen ever since I started planning the opening celebration in my head. Don't worry, I already ordered a crown and a scepter. So only wear one of those dresses you wear singing at weddings and you'll be fine. Do you have one in powder blue?

Sandy: When were you planning on telling me?

Kep: You saw the poster, didn't you?

Sandy: So this is how I find out?

Kep: Yup. Surprised, huh?

Sandy: No, more like angry!

Kep: Angry? You get to be a queen for a day and, if you say yes, you get free sprinkles for life...

Sandy: Kep, I ca.........no, no this is about principals. You didn't ask me, so I'm not doing it.

Kep: But you're the only one who can.

Sandy: What about Xi?

Kep: She has a dance convention tomorrow.

Sandy: Katara?

Kep: Babysitting.

Sandy: Toph?

Kep: hates dresses. Sandy, I sped up construction so that you could be the Ice Cream Queen before you started showing.

Sandy: Why? What's wrong with a pregnant Ice Cream Queen? If you kept up at a normal pace, you would have found someone else.

Kep: Well, in my vision, you were always the Ice Cream Queen. But, if hiding your pregnancy is your issue, I've also got you lined up to play the before Mary in the Christmas play.

Sandy: And if you ask me before you put my face on posters then I'll do it.

Kep: What if I ask you about this now?

Sandy: Too late. I'm pregnant. I've got morning sickness. I'm moody...you want me to yell at the kids then throw up the ice cream?

Kep: You know what? I'm gonna take your answer as a maybe.

Ursa: Oh, and just wait until Hakoda sees this. I swear, for a grown woman you are so irresponsible.

Ursa was pacing around the living room while Poppy sat on the couch with her arms folded. Sokka was on the couch too. Right now he was wondering why he came into the living room in the first place.

Poppy: Excuse me, but didn't you leave your children and come here when they were young?

Ursa: That was different. I was banished, I had to go. I was there as long as I could. What were you even doing while your daughter was growing up?

Poppy: I was decorating the house.

Ursa: That's it? No wonder you have no idea how to take care of a baby. I thought you were learning but I was obviously wrong.

Poppy: So now I'm a bad mother for working on my career?

Ursa: What career?

Poppy: I'm a decorator.

Ursa: You decorated your house so now you're a decorator. Ok, well I played peek-a-boo with Jian yesterday and now I'm invisible.

Sokka: Mom, I think you're overreacting a little bit.

Ursa: WHAT?!!

Sokka: Ok, I could be wrong...

Poppy: He's right. It's just henna. It'll fade.

Ursa: But you didn't even ask me. You didn't even think to ask me.

Poppy: Maybe I didn't. Maybe I don't have as much practice as you. You know why? My mother didn't take care of me either. She had the money to hire someone to do it for her so she did. My father was always working...they never had time for me...like I never had time for poor Toph...but I want to make that right now.

Ursa: So your parents...weren't that great huh?

Poppy: My father was fine when he wasn't working and I did always have my grandfather, Bumi. He's always there for Toph too.

Ursa: My grandfather died when my mother was still young, but my grandmother would tell me and my cousins stories about him. It wasn't until later that I found he was Avatar Roku. Even though I never met him...I always felt like I knew him and like he was guiding me in the right direction...you grandfather sounds like a very special person to you.

Poppy: He's definitely an original.

Ursa sat down on the couch on the other side of Sokka, who they kind of forgot was there.

Ursa: Maybe the reason you aren't so good at this is because you didn't have all that great examples. But I bet if you observed how Hakoda and I take care of Jian and took some notes...maybe you could improve.

Poppy: You think?

Ursa: I bet.

The two women hugged, forgetting Sokka was in the middle.

Sokka: Uh...ladies...uh...I'm still here. Can I get out of here?.......no? Alright...

Sandy and Zuko were taking Toky for "Tell Her Sandy's Pregnant" take two. Except this time, they were going to do it at the park. However, on their way, they had to pass Kep's grand opening.

Kep was on a stage holding the crown over the ice cream throne.

Kep: Just picture her kids. She's smiling, she's waving...

Zuko had to hold her back from jumping up there

Sandy: Oh geez...

Zuko: Don't let him get to you.

Kep noticed Sandy walking by. He stood up and raised his voice. Also, a little girl started crying.

Kep: Don't cry little girl. We still have balloons and ice cream and you can have two cherries without the extra copper piece. Yes, an Ice Cream queen would have been fun but she was just too busy. She just had so much more important things to do than to come here and play with all of you.

Sandy: That's it!

Sandy jumped on the stage and pushed Kep out of the way.

Sandy: Look kids, I'm not the Ice Cream Queen because Kep didn't even think to ask me. I didn't know anything about it until he put that stupid poster up. Its really unfair to guilt me into something because Kep didn't have the common courtesy to ask. Now, I'll be the Before Mary if Kep asks nicely but for now I...I...

Sandy looked out at the crowd of sad little faces. It was a lot easier to say no to Kep but she couldn't say no to the innocent little kids.

Sandy: I'll...um... hold on a sec folks.

Sandy turned and whispered to Kep.

Sandy: Free triple scoops for life and you've got a deal.

Kep: Ok, but you're paying for toppings.

Sandy: Except rainbow sprinkles.

Kep: Done.

Sandy: I'll be back in twenty minutes folks.

When Sandy got home, she found Katara waiting for her with Jian.

Sandy: Hey Katara, hey Jian. What are you doing here?

Katara: I've been waiting for you. I have something important to tell you but I've been kind of putting it off.

Sandy: Well what is it? You're freaking me out alittle.

They sat on the couch together and Jian sat on Katara's lap.

Katara: Well, remember a coupled weeks ago before you told us you were pregnant, I felt your stomach.

Sandy: Yeah...

Katara: Well, I could feel the baby and...

Sandy: Is there something wrong with it?

Katara: No, but there might be more than you expect.

Sandy: You mean like twins?

Katara: ....plus two...

Sandy: Plus two? Oh my god....oh my god...OH MY GAWWWWD! I'm gonna have Quadruplets?!! That's FOUR BABIES!!!!

Katara: It'll be ok.

Sandy: Ok? OK?!! I'm carrying a litter!

Katara: It'll be just like any normal pregnancy except...bigger.

Sandy: aw man, how am I gonna tell Zuko?

Katara: Zuko'll be fine...well no he won't. But he'll be ok with it as soon as the freak out subsides

Sandy: I have four babies floating around inside me.

Katara: Well, yeah but you can handle it. I've seen you with Jian and Toky. More babies won't make you a worse mother. Besides, you'll have Zuko with you. I mean, these babies are lucky to be floating around inside you right now. I truly believe you can do it Sandy, and we'll all be around to help.

Sandy finally made it back to the opening ceremony. Zuko was waiting with Toky who had an ice cream cone. Sandy, who was dressed in a powder blue dress like Kep asked, ran up them, and gave them both a hug and a kiss.

Sandy: Toky, your father and I have something very important to tell you. You are going to have four brothers and sisters.

Toky: Four?

Zuko: Four?!!!

Sandy: Yes, Katara just told me. I'm pregnant with quadruplets.

Zuko: Quadruplets?!!

Sandy: Yes, isn't it great?! Ok I gotta go up there.

Sandy gave him another kiss and scurried up the stairs to the stage. Zuko took Toky's hand and blindly walked over to a bench across the street.

Toky: Daddy, are you ok?

Zuko: I'm fine. I just need to sit down for a while.

Toky: Why? Aren't you happy mommy's gonna have babies?

Zuko: No I'm happy but, usually when someone has this many babies it's in a box under the stairs.

Toky: Huh?

Zuko: Never mind. But, this might be confusing to you. Do you have any questions?

Toky: No, uncle Sokka told me everything.

Zuko: WHAT?! UNLCE SOKKA?!!

Aaron: Yup, he told her the facts of life.

Aaron sat down on the bench next to Zuko.

Aaron: When I heard Sandy was pregnant, I knew she was gonna blab about it sometime. I'm so glad to see you reacting.

Zuko: I'm glad my shock is amusing to you.

Zuko looked ahead at Sandy. She was sitting in the ice cream throne and she had a silver fake crown on her head. A young mother put her baby in Sandy's lap. Sandy picked it up and gave it an Eskimo kiss on the nose.

Aaron: Don't worry about the quadruplets. You'll be fine. Sandy can totally handle it and you can too.

Zuko: Wait, how do you know about the quadruplets?

Aaron: I was standing right behind you.
