Ty Lee came down to the southern watertribe. Sandy gave her a big hug as soon as she came through the door.

Sandy: Ty Lee! I haven't seen you in ages!

Ty Lee: I know! I'm so happy you invited me.

Sandy invited Ty Lee in. They dug their toes into the soft rug and drank hot chocolate.

Sandy: So, how are things with Ryo?

Ty Lee: Oh, they're over.

Sandy: What?! He broke up with you? Don't worry; we'll make him see what he's missing. Moe Monas owes me a favor.

Ty Lee: As much as I love Moe, you don't have to. I broke up with him.

Sandy: What?! Why?! You kept saying he was "the one."

Ty Lee: Well, we were great but it's been three years and he hasn't shown any signs of popping the question. I want to get married someday. I need to be with someone who does too.

Sandy: Are you sure he was never interested?

Ty Lee: I think he was going to break up with me anyway.

Sandy: Why?

Ty Lee: Well, he was acting weird. He would snatch things before I saw them. He would mumble awkwardly when I'd ask him what he was doing...It was like he was keeping something from me.

Sandy: Are you sure it was a break up?

Ty Lee: Either that or another girl.

Later that day, Ty Lee was in her guestroom taking a nap when there was a knock at the door. Sandy answered and Ryo came through the door.

Ryo: Sandy...

Ryo hugged Sandy and picked her about a foot off the ground.

Sandy: Ryo, are you bringing another shipment in?

Ryo: Yes...

Sandy: What's wrong?

Ryo: Ty Lee dumped me. I can't believe it.

Sandy: It'll be ok Ryo...are you tracking snow on my clean carpet?!

Ryo: Is that what you're thinking about right now?!

Sandy: I never stop thinking about it.

Ryo: Don't you care about me and Ty Lee?

Sandy: I'm sorry, you're right. This is more important than snow...on my carpet...you wanna put me down anytime soon?

Ryo: Oh, sorry.

Ryo put Sandy down and took off his shoes. Sandy got him some hot chocolate and sat down on the couch.

Ryo: I don't need your pity cocoa. *drinks it* Can I have another please?

Sandy: Here take mine. I already had a mug-full today,

Ryo: Thanks. Where's your family?

Sandy: Sokka took Wei to the Southern Airtemple for his first waterbending lesson and Yue went with them to visit Auntie Kat.

Ryo: Ok I just miss her so much!

Sandy: Don't you usually destroy things when you're upset?

Ryo: I already did that. On my way home from the break up I attacked a pretzel cart. This is the second part.

Sandy: *hugs him* There there.... *pushes him away* Ryo!

Ryo: Oh...Oh no...I'm sorry I was thinking of Ty Lee and...

Sandy: You were kissing my neck!

Ryo: I'm sorry; I can't believe I nuzzled you.

Sandy: You used you're tongue!

Then they heard a really loud "MMMMMMMMMWHHHHHAAAAAHAHAHAHA" and they turned around. Ty Lee was standing at the top of the stairs crying.

Ty Lee: I thought you were my friend!!

She burst into tears and ran to her room.

Sandy: Ty Lee! Wait.

Upstairs, Sandy dragged Ryo to Ty Lee's door.

Sandy: Ok, I'll go in and explain the neck thing then I'll send you in and tell her why you were acting weird, ok?

Ryo: Ok, you're so nice. You know, Azula made me kidnap you.

Sandy: That's ok; I have a weird habbit of making friends with people who kidnap me. Even Zuko kidnapped me once but that was just to get me and Xi to make up.

Ryo: How would that help?

Sandy: He locked us in a closet until we made up....oh wait not every one who kidnapped me I made friends with. I always hated Azula. Lee...mmm...we say hi sometimes. Mai and I are civil but we're not going to be braiding each other's hair anytime soon.

Ryo: Ok, now can you please help me?

Sandy: Oh yeah.

Sandy knocked on Ty Lee's door.

Ty Lee; Go away!!

Sandy: Please Ty Lee. Let me explain. I would let you explain if I caught you snuggling Sokka.

Ty Lee: Fine, but it'd better be good.

Ty Lee opened the door and let her in. She slammed it before Ryo could even peak in.

Ty Lee: What?

Sandy: ok, what you saw was nothing more than the result of the misery of a recently dumped man mixed with a couple shots of cactus juice. He misses you. Right after he nuzzled me he was like "I'm sorry! I was thinking of Ty Lee!"

Ty Lee: So he was just pretending you were me?

Sandy: I guess. Just give him another chance. He loves you. He attacked a pretzel cart for you.

Ty Lee: He did?

Sandy: Yeah.

Ty Lee: Well...maybe he was just mad that I beat him to the punch.

Sandy: Ty Lee...is that was this was about? You didn't want him to break up with you so you broke up with him?

Ty Lee: Well...maybe...

Sandy: Ty Lee you can't do that. If I did that when Sokka and I were dating, we would have never gotten married.

Ty Lee thought for a second, went over to the door and knocked on it.

Ty Lee: Ryo, you out there?

Ryo: yes.

Ty Lee: Ryo, I'm sorry. I started thinking about the future and thinking "what if we don't have a future together?" And that one thought managed to completely freak me out. It was a stupid reason to break up with you, I know that and if you never want to see me again, I understand.

Ryo: Ok...Will you marry me?

Ty Lee grinned ear to ear and nodded excitedly. Sandy lightly smacked her on her arm.

Sandy: He can't hear a nod.

Ty Lee: Yes I'll marry you!

Ty Lee opened the door. Ryo took out the betrothal necklace he made.

Ty Lee: It's beautiful...

Ryo: Yeah, this is why I've been acting so weird. I was so busy making this for you...

Ty Lee: I love you.

Ryo: I love you.

Ryo put the necklace on Ty Lee

Toph: You guys do realized that I fully trusted you to pick out my dress so if when I die and see my life flash before my eyes and see for the first time the dress that you picked out and it's humiliating or super girly, I will haunt you for the rest of your lives.

Sandy: Don't worry Toph; the one we picked would be totally you if only it had a few more ruffles.

Toph grabbed a hair brush and held it up to throw at Sandy. Katara grabbed her hand to stop her.

Katara: She's kidding Toph. It's very clean and simple and you look beautiful in it.

Ty Lee: Yeah, you might like it so much that it'll take some of the sadness out the whole dying thing.

Toph: Oh my God!!

Xiaoyu: What? What's wrong Toph?

Toph: Suddenly the idea of marriage sounds completely heinous. Legally binding one man and one woman together until they die?! It's perverse! Why would I want to do this?!

Xiaoyu: Because you love Teo.

Toph: Teo?

Katara: Yes, your groom, Teo.

Toph: Teo...Teo....ok I'm good now.

Ty Lee: Well, I better take my seat. Have a good wedding.

Ty Lee left while the rest of the girls finished Toph's make up and hair.

Sandy: Don't worry, you'll look so beautiful, Teo will fall out of his chair.

Toph: you really think so?

Katara: Of course, you're always beautiful.

Then, Sui knocked on the door.

Sui: Girls, we're almost ready to start. And whoever took Teo's cuff links, we need them back.

Everyone turned and pretended t glare at Sandy but they were really trying to hold back their laughs.

Sandy: What? Sokka dared me.

Everyone grabbed their flowers and on their way out, Sandy put the cuff links in Sui's hand.

Toph started walking slowly down the aisle. She could tell all her friends and her soon-to-be husband were staring at her. Suddenly, she freaked out and ran back up the aisle. Katara shoved her flowers into the minister's hands. The other bridesmaids shoved them at the groomsmen, except Sandy who dropped hers in Teo's lap.

Sandy: Hey, sorry I took your cuff links. Sokka dared me. Can you hold my flowers?

The girls found Toph punching a hole in the wall so she could make a break for it.

Katara: There she is! Get her!

Xiaoyu ran up to Toph and tackled her.

Xiaoyu: Stop right there missy! If you think you're running out on this wedding after I ate nothing but protein powder shakes for a month you've got another thing coming.

Toph: But....

Xiaoyu: Do you know what they tasted like?! LIKE CHALK!! Being this hot takes work!

Toph: Fine, now get off me!!! But I can't do it guys. I'm sorry.

Xiaoyu got off Toph and helped her up.

Xiaoyu: What do you mean you can't do it?

Toph: I was scared that my marriage would end in divorce or something so I tried thinking of happy couples who have been together forever and I thought about you guys. Then I realized, I'm nothing like you guys. Katara, I'm not as nurturing as you and Sandy, I'm not as sweet-hearty and forgiving as you and Xi, the walls in the palace aren't as thick as you think. I hope you know where I'm going with this.

Xiaoyu: I do.

Toph: Anyway, I'm not like you guys. I can't be the perfect wife.

Sandy: Toph, no one's the perfect wife. No one's the perfect anything.

Xiaoyu: Well...

Sandy: XI!

Xiaoyu: Ok, fine. No one's perfect.

Katara: Trust me, I am not the perfect wife. I got so worried about Aang's safety; I almost forgot he had a job to do.

Sandy: I do the same thing. And we usually get along but he knows the military stuff makes me nervous.

Xiaoyu: Toph, even I'm not perfect. We fight but we always make up. I have to admit, I start some of them.

Toph: But all you guys know you will love each other for the rest of your lives. I don't know if he'll last that long and I don't know if I will.

Xiaoyu: You will. Love doesn't fade with age. It's not a tee-shirt.

Katara: Toph, if you leave Teo, you'll regret it. It's like my Gran Gran said; if someone truly loves you, don't let him go.

The bridesmaids rushed back to the alter and grabbed their flowers.

Xiaoyu: Sorry about that. The bride just had a little freak out.

Sandy: Hey, why were you on protein shakes anyway?

Xiaoyu: This is Toph's wedding and I am a bridesmaid which means I can't look my everyday hot. I have to look extra hot.

This time when Toph came down the aisle, she looked calm and radiant.

When she got to the front she smiled at Teo.

Toph: You get your cuff links back?

Teo: yeah.

After this, the ceremony went smoothly. Everyone cheered when they kissed.
