This is director Fritz Langs last movie. In it he brings back evil Dr. Mabuse, whom he brought to the big screen, the first time, way back in the 1930s. When a TV journalist is murderd, the case resembels one commited by Mabuse. But "the good" doctor has been dead for almost 30 years. Trails lead a police inspector (played by future "Goldfinger" Gert Fröbe) to a Berlin Hotel wich seems to be Mabuses operating base...
The movie is a o.k. time filler with a good cast. Next to Fröbe there are Peter van Eyck, Dawn Addams, Wolfgang Preiss and Werner Peters to name only the more known ones. They all play their parts good.
