Most of my gaming experience the past 5 months has been either World of Warcraft or a lack thereof due to finishing up my last year as a computer science and mathematics major (and graduating a year early).

It's been a good experience. Some of you might have seen TimeSink around - well you can blame him in getting me to try out what I could only expect to be another well-polished but rather hollow Blizzard title. And, like he said, Blizzard put out something with, shall we say, the cream filling. More content than you can shake a stick at for months on end. And I haven't even tried out playing Horde. WoW appealed to one of my two main reasons for enjoying gaming, wanderlust. I enjoy losing myself in a fictional world that's full of characters, exploration, and intrigue. It's been great, but the other main reason for gaming has been growing, and it's been like a mental itch.

My other compulsion, along with wanderlust, is that of dominance (for lack of a better word). The feeling you get from heated, fast-paced competition that is pure, unbridled adrenaline. It's why I play sports so much, and also why I play games like CounterStrike and Quake at as competitive a level as I can reach. And well, I haven't played a good FPS in a long, long time. Partly this is because my computer is ancient - besides a new video card 2 years ago, I've had the thing since the summer of 2001. That's right, 4 years old. God I hate being a broke-ass college student. So you can guess how many FPS's I can run with decent Frames per Second.

In the meantime, I'm going to go back to my wanderlust.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like gepsben.
gepsben must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could gepsben possibly have for not rating a single film?
