Today is my bithrday. I'm 23 years old as of today! YAY!
I went out to have dinner. I had pizza. I planned to go to a theme park because I haven't been to one for ages but the theme park I planned to go to was booked for the employees of one of the ministeries over here so I went to a different place and got new stuff. After I was done shopping, I got really tired carrying bags and bumping into people at the mall and saying Hello! I went home.
I haven't been playing videogames for a long time too because I was studying all the time. It's been ages since I last watched a movie because none of the movies nowadays appeal to me. Seriously, even when I buy DVDs, I rarely watch the movies I got. Movies nowadays have become crappy don't you think? Before, I used to go to bed thinking and analyze the story and characters but now, as soon as I leave the theater, I forget what I watched. I'm not sure if this happens because the value of movies have dropped or because people have more options than they did back then which makes them appreciate movies and entertainment business more. Speaking of movies, one of the things that ticks me off is movies based on videogames/anime because they're never good. But I was really pissed when I heard the rumor about a movie based on Shadow of The Colossus being made. I doubt it's going to be good because SOTC relies heavily on silent story-telling and not dialougs. I dislike it when producers take advantage of popular products. If they ever agreed to make that movie, I hope it draws people's attention to one of the best games in the last generation.
How's everyone at Gamespot doing?

Yeah well, I think things stay pretty much the same. We change and our point of view changes. Things that once interested us, doesn't appeal to us all that much anymore.
Take gaming for example: We couldn't wait for a new Tomb Raider to show up. Now the new TR is long here and it is not worse than the previous ones but most of us Lara fans haven't played it yet

Pizza is a perfect way to celebrate
it is hard to find a good movie now you are so right. I got a few DvDs because I found good prices on some horror movies a little while back.
And what you said about game movies is so true.
Silent Hill movie was a bit better than most of those put out for video game but I don't think it would have made sense to anyone that had not played the games.
Resident evil movies are entertaining but not true to RE.
nothing else regarding video game movies has been worth watching.
While i thought Mark Wahlberg looked the part the Max Payne movie brought Maximum Pain. In fact it won a Golden Raspberry award
No hopes for any game based movie. Been rumours of a World or Warcraft production.
Ico for the Romance element - I think it was one of the more under appreciated and it a great game. for a movie why not Toontown - then at least it could be cartoons
I agree that a lot of the movies these days are so shallow. I havent been to the movie theater in a long time and the only DVDs I am watching are anime. Nothing else is good.
Oh yeah, and I heard about the rumor of the Shadow of the Colossus movie being made. Here's the perfect image for that: http://4.media.tumblr.com/0LOD7ELvfkb7ceppKRSsR1epo1_500.jpg
I liked FFVII: Advent Children, but I think it shows that game based movies can only be good if they embrace their calling as fanservice and nothing more. Oh well, in tradition since Super Mario Bros. the Movie, the movie is will just bomb and then people will forget it was ever made. Even better, it will most likely make the game have an even better image, meaning people will be like, "Oh the movie was horrible, but the game is pure art! Why couldn't Uwe Boll make the movie like this?"
Yes I still watch anime and currently I'm watching:
-Phatom
-K-ON!
-Guin Saga
-Restorant Paradiso
-Eden of Tears @ myvieweing: True but some people will think the game is as crappy a the movie. Why waste money on something that won't work?
yeah i think movies are being crappy, and it's not only movies based on videogames that stink, i think that videogames based on movies -especialy cartoons- stink more.
still i think that a movie for shadow of clossus would be cool
I saw Dragon Ball Evolution and it's an insult to the series. You are right, movies this days are less and less worth...
We don't hope nothing good about that Shadow of the Colossus movie!
Nice image, where did you get it?
