YLOD is a short term for yellow ring of death which is a propaganada created by none other than Microsoft to delude consumers into thinking that 80 GB, 40 GB and 20 GB ps3 systems produce a yellow light incase you placed them vertically= A LIE!

HI! I know it's been a long time since I last posted an update here. I wanted to do many things and share them with you guys such as reviews for games, games I stopped playing, new consoles I bought and other gaming tid bits but gamespot wouldn't let me. This site has been very laggy lately and it's hard for me to type a complete sentence. Let along having to click on sumbit twice all thanks to html warning. I've noticed that some bugs still occur. The "member since 1970" bug is still there. I'm not going to complain but I think this place would be more active if the staff worked on fixing those bugs. While I was away from gamespot, I got Valkyria Chronicles, Eternal Poison and Tomb Raider Underworld. I haven't beaten Valkyria yet but I could tell that it's a nice game. The decision to buy Eternal Poison was rushed because I'm not into Strategy role-playing games but the artwork was very tempting. I started playing TR Underworld, I regret buying it for playstation 2 beause the graphics don't look as pleasing as other games. Or maybe because I was playing too much ps3 games and Eternal Poison has cartoonish graphics.

I was planning to buy a wii this break but I ran out of money so the plan to buy a wii was postponed to summer. Though I'm not sure if I still want a wii because I heard that Fragile, which is one of the reasons I'm getting a wii, didn't turn out good so I'm worried. I'll get it anyways because I want to play Murasama as well as other games so bad. I'm also waiting for Steet Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5.

How's everyone doing?

Really glad to hear you playing TR Underworld I was wondering if I and other die hard Lara fans aren't playing it, then who is Would really like to know what you think of it gq. It is not that I had enough of Lara or something, I am playing fallout3 andthe game is so huge Do you still visit the TRU? Haven't been there for a long time Well hopefully people will still be playing Underworld when I finally have the time to play it.
Yeah and long time no see! It is nice to see you after a while. Hope you will become more active in 2009. I have missed your interesting GS blogs

I really want to buy Tomb Raider Underworld, hopefully I can get it soon, I played the demo a bit ago and loved it. I'm sure you'll beat valkyria chronicles, I think It's a awesome game. I would still be playing it, If my ps3 hadn't broke on me. But anyways, it's good to hear from you.

Actually the TLOD is virtually similar to the RROD, and it's not a lie because I have a busted PS3 sitting right next to me right now.

To start out out with I have been buying all of my new games on about a 3 to 1 ratio in favor of my PS3; about the only games I buy for the 360 are exclusives or ones that I want to play online with certain friends that only have a 360. I really don't trust the 360 consoles to hold up, whereas my PS3 is rock solid. I just can't see investing more and more money in a broken console.

Yes, I think GS has been experiencing problems of all sorts. The servers seem sluggish, I don't think people are happy with the upgrades, and the forums seem to be really be slow with less and less people commenting. You know how big of a TR fan I am and I wasn't all that pleased with Underworld either, the puzzles were good, the camera was terrible, and the game itself had a lot of bugs in it; I was playing it on my PS3. Anyway, glad to see you back and hope to hear more from you.

Ah you silly PS3 fangirl, always the same .

I'm doing pretty well, I got the best console this gen, of course I'm talking about the Xbox 360, and I'm very happy with it. Sold many of my games as well since many of them are crap and I'm never going to play them again. Now my collection is becoming lighter but much better.

I am fine.
It's cool to hear that you are trying new games. That's what I need to do. I recently bought a PS3 game, it is Ratchet and Clank.

I'm doing very well. Good to see you back. I'd get the Wii for Mario Galaxy alone.

Hi Su it is really great to hear from you again.

I got a 160 GB Playstation 3 because to be honest no other console would to for me.

After talking to the young lady who is manager of the local Gamestop, and is the person I trust most about gaming I have to agree with you that PS3 is the wave of the future and that the Wii would be a good secondary console to have but the 360 has so many problems that I may delay getting one for a very, very long time. If ever.

Especially now that there are hardly any exclusive games anymore. RROD and other less famous problems are soo darn common as to require attention from the company in the warranty. At least RROD does the others you pay for out of pocket the PS3 has so few problems that their competitors came up the "YLOD" name out of consternation because they are tired of having all the problems they have and wish the Sony was not so well made.

I also have a PS2 that is over 6 years old and still running as well as it did the day i brought it home.

I expect in 6 more years to be playing on both PS3 and PS2 and probably the same ones I have now

Glad to hear from you after all this time! I also have Tomb Raider Underworld and it looks fantastic on the XBox 360! I looked at getting a Wii as well... but there are hardly any games that I would purchase if I did... so I won't!

Hello and welcome back! What's this about a YLoD? I've had enough trouble with RRoD, although my Xbox somehow recovered from the last one in a weird Jesus-like resurrection from death.

Anywho, I too am looking forward to Street Fighter IV. I may even sell Fallout 3 to buy it.

Gonna buy Eternal Poison someday ^_^

Wow... you're alive!? Hooray!!!
I haven't touched videogames for a looong time, school is tough, and my blog still has crazy crap going on around it. I don't even talk about games that much anymore;I mainly go to this site to just chill out.

Hey, how is it going? Long time no see. Glad to hear from you once again! Wow, great choice with Valkyria and Eternal Poison, I really want to get my hands on those games. As for the Wii, it is really looking like a viable option for me now with games such as MadWorld, OboroMurasama and particularly Fragile on the horizon. I really wish for Fragile and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom to make it overseas somehow.

YLOD?! more like LMAO! Oh Microsoft reps, you are such scoundrels.

I have a 60 GB PS3 too. If you want to add me, my PSN ID is Icestar10
Posted Feb 10, 2009 9:15 am PT
You really should have got the ps3 version on TR shame on you GQ The ps3 version was actually pretty good much to my surprise and the graphics are wow still not as good as the old games but it's getting there is rather slowly!

360 rules :p
Posted Feb 10, 2009 11:54 pm PT
That was random, didn't expect something like that for your first post back

I used to think the same way about YLOD being a made up thing, but now I actually have it. I press the on button and it goes to green, beeps once like normal, turns to yellow for half a second, then goes to a blinking red and beeps three times. So please stop saying it's made up by Microsoft, as much as I hate them, because it is real.
