well it almost worked
I'll be honest, I havent played every single game that came out this year, but I've played the majority of the bigger titles. I've yet to play Fable 2, but I highly doubt it will come even close to how much I enjoyed Fallout 3. If it happens though, I'll post another blog, just dont count on it. The only game I havent played that I think may have had a chance is MGS4.
Which reminds me, for those about to say: GTA4 10.0 WTF!

Here is my general consensus (?) of Fallout 3 in a nutshell. Theres plenty to explain, but I cant find words to explain it. Here's what I ended up coming up with:
Fallout 3 is one incredible game. It brilliantly combines a strong story you can mutate to your hearts content with fantastic gameplay, altered to something not seen before. It gives you realistic choices with perhaps even moreso realistic consequences that change the entire game, just as they would change life itself. Once you begin to play, you're going to fall in love with Fallout 3, it's just that simple. War may never change, but one thing thats for certain is that the video game industry is. We're constantly seeing change and evolution with each passing title. Fallout 3 is one of those games that has evolved so much and come so much farther then most of the titles gracing consoles this year. Though the final choice was rather difficult, Fallout 3 stands just ever so much taller then the rest of what 2008 had to offer.
So there you go kiddies,
Gameshark5's fabled and highly anticipated (figuratively speaking that is;P) Game Of The Whole Wide year.

Fallout 3 was good, but I'd name Braid, Brawl, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia over it.

To me, when a game gets a lot of hype, it waters down the final experience. That and overrated games should be crucified.
Brent-Well thats a shame sir, hype for a game doesnt phase me, unless its hype that coming from me alone. Nobody says you have to listen to what anybody thinks about a game, before, after or during a games release
