For the first time since I can remember, it's September and I don't have to go back to school! Well, at least not in an "official" way. I'm actually stuck somewhere between working adult and student thanks to me failing my senior year project last year. I'm not registered for any cl@sses but I'm not a graduate until I finish my project. So basically, as soon as my project is done, I'm out in the work force. Just getting it done is going to be the hard part... I really wish my partner and I would have completed it by the end of August (or even better: not have failed it last year ).

This is the last week of my work term at CTV. I'm probably going to run across the news set on my last day too since I didn't get a chance to be on TV. My arm was in the background during one newscast though! I'm hoping to get a good job reference so crashing the evening news might not be such a good idea.

I learned a lot though. College doesn't teach you all the hands-on stuff you learn on the job. My senior project might be easier now too since I'm more confident.

I also find out the results of my blood test on Wed. so I'm really scared

-Gaming Updates-

Resident Evil 5:

Two more trophies and I will finally have my first platinum! Unfortunately, they are probably two of the hardest trophies: beating the game on professional and fully upgrading all the weapons. Can't wait to move on though. I have a huge pile of other games to beat.

New Trophies:

(Silver)

Yep, this is going to be a short blog for once

Have a good week guys! This week is either going to be awesome or terrifying for me...

Quote of the Week x 2:

"80% of the final exam will be based on the one lecture you missed and the one book you didn't read"

"If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you have tried."

If you want to upgrade them all just farm the lickers in one of the later levels. Specially if you already have the chaingun.. they drop those rubies that sell for a ton.. if you keep exiting and reloading at that checkpoint, you can rack up hundreds of thousands of dollars in a couple hours.

Hope Wednesday's news is all good - my fingers are crossed for you!
(and typing is suddenly very difficult)

Great quotes!!! Don't worry about your blood test. It is usually much ado about nothing. You are in my prayers dear girl!!!!
Posted Sep 6, 2009 7:16 pm PT
College may prepare yoou for life but it does not prepare you for the work week.That has to be experienced for ones self.The knowledge that you garner during your schooling may come in handy(maybe not also) but it's not the real deal.

Good luck this week.let us kknow the results and leave some of the TV station in pieces.Sorry you didn't get put on air.

@Allicrombie: RE5 is pretty much the same as RE4, except you have a partner and there's lots more action scenes. Thanks!

@GunnyHath: I know the perfect chapter for that! Thanks. Time to go wrangle up some Lickers

@s_h_a_d_o: Thank you! Feel free to uncross your fingers to type though

@katamari: Thank you! I really hope it turns out well.

@zinoalex: Thanks! I'm still going to try and get on air this week though

"I think you might do something better with the time than wasting it asking riddles that have no answers."
Posted Sep 6, 2009 7:37 pm PT
I'm trying to get most of the achiements in RE5 but haven't gone around to do so :S. Don't worry about your blood you will be fine don't stress yourself either.
Posted Sep 6, 2009 7:46 pm PT
You should give steve a little nudge and wink before he does on camera Good luck with your project and bloodwork too girl.

I like the second quote, I'll have to try and follow it
Posted Sep 6, 2009 8:22 pm PT
Are you still paying for the year?
Posted Sep 6, 2009 8:30 pm PT
College never teaches you what actually happens in real work life. But I hope you do get a good job reference for later on. As for your blood test results, don't think too much about it. (:
Posted Sep 6, 2009 8:37 pm PT
Congrats on the trophies. And good luck with your work and project and even your results as well. Hope you have a good week as well.

No TV appearance?awwwww.
Posted Sep 6, 2009 10:01 pm PT
Yeah it is really odd not going back to school after all those years! Though I hated higschool, I loved collage It is certainly not easy to find a suitable job these days. What is with the army? I always thought you were an armygirl. Hope you bloodtest turns out as okay but don't worry even the most scary illnesses can be cured

Think postive. That autmatically makes things better!

Make sure you cartwheel an camera soon
Posted Sep 7, 2009 2:13 am PT

Posted Sep 7, 2009 5:45 am PT

BRAGGER i still got 3 more years
Your obssessed with that platinum aren't you

Posted Sep 7, 2009 5:49 am PT
I thought the quote was really funny, especially because I missed one lecture last week!
Posted Sep 7, 2009 6:46 am PT
Good luck getting the project done and Resident Evil too. have fun gaming and joining the work force world .
Posted Sep 7, 2009 7:20 am PT
It's funny that you have to go to school but in the end it's what you learn working that really matters. I'll hold my thumbs for your blood test to come out ok.

@TriEdgeFury26: Nice quote!

@hintaki: Good luck with the achievements when you get around to them! Thanks

@hush404: Or I could give him bunny ears during the 6 o'clock news Thanks!

@lancelot200: They haven't asked me for money, so I'm not giving them any

@mufujifi: I just wish that the work term was payed, then I'd be all set. Thanks!

@Colmillios: Thank you!

@Gohansephiroth: It feels kind of funny not going back to school though Thanks!

@paul939: I still have a week to try though

@khatibi22: College was 100 times better for me too. Yep, I'm an armygirl. I'm in the Army Reserves which is like a part time job. I just train on Thursday nights and a few weekends a month (but I'm on medical leave now because of the health issue). I don't want to join it full time, but if i can't find a job anywhere, it's nice that I have that option to fall back on. Thanks!

@PJ24: I'll try to think happy thoughts. Cartwheeling might actually work! Thanks

@Gamer_4_Fun: Wow! You unlocked that fast. I still have my unlimited L Hawk though so I should be fine

@HawkGamer2008: Must... get... platinum... What were you saying again?

@chandu83: I hope 80% of your final exam isn't based on it

@Lisaanne30: Thanks!

@anzelm: It kind of makes me wonder what the point of school is Thank you!
Posted Sep 7, 2009 9:59 am PT
the first step is admiting you have a problem
Posted Sep 7, 2009 10:22 am PT
You should have finished it in August for real cause then you would have time to focus on other business that you have to deal with but just try to see if you can put aside everything else and focus on your project for now cause that sounds more important in this case.Its good though that you are learning alot of different hands-on stuff in CTV,at least you didn't waste anytime there with them and about the "running across the news set",i say go for it since its your last day anyhow.I hope nothing went bad with your blood test but try to be calm cause i already believe that you got alot of worries right now with your project and other stuff.Like your quote by the way and enjoy the rest of your day.
Posted Sep 7, 2009 11:44 am PT
congratz i was going to get RE5 as a plat but collecting everything takes so long and it was boring
Posted Sep 7, 2009 12:30 pm PT
Good luck on the project and on your platinum hunt
Posted Sep 7, 2009 11:30 pm PT
You seem to be doing rather well on the trophies, congrats to you and I hope that you do finally beat the game on Professional. Here's a tip: max out all your weapons and turn on infinite ammo mode. Other than that, don't worry too much about your test, you will be fine.
Posted Sep 8, 2009 12:54 am PT
I like the first quote.
Posted Sep 8, 2009 11:06 am PT
I learned a lot in college, but I think the best lessons were the ones out of the cIassroom. The lessons that taught me how to work well and communicate with others, what kind of worker I am as far as my productivity and habits, and where my passions are. I hope you got to pick up some of those lessons too.

What line of work are you looking to get in to when this project is over?

I have had a hankering to go back through RE5 lately. There's just something fun about blazing through it with over powered guns. Maybe I need to put it back on my Gamefly queue.
Posted Sep 8, 2009 11:47 am PT
@HawkGamer2008: But I don't have a problem

@TriniPlayer: Yeah, I really wish I would have got it done in August I just had too much going on at once I guess. I find out the blood test results tomorrow. Thanks and you too!

@NuKkU: Lucky for me, I like collecting random junk in games

@herviross_2: Thanks!

@david_lck: Thanks! I have two unlimited magnums, the unlimited Rocket Launcher, the chain gun, and the long bow, but I still managed to die 7 times during chapter 1-1 on Professional

@msudude211: Me too. One of my classes was just like that unfortunately

@yeah_write: I have picked up a lot of things from my work term. Sitting in a classroom just doesn't compare to being out in the real world. I'll be an Electronic Engineering Technologist when my project is done so there's lots of jobs to choose from. I'm interested in environmental tracking electronics so I'm hoping to get a job related to that. Running through RE5 with the chain gun and unlimited magnum is pretty fun!
Posted Sep 8, 2009 4:06 pm PT
hmm, the stage known as denial
Posted Sep 8, 2009 4:13 pm PT
@HawkGamer2008: No it's not
Posted Sep 8, 2009 4:16 pm PT

i still have to finish RE 5 i've been postponing for a while now
Posted Sep 8, 2009 9:37 pm PT
and all the best for your project
Posted Sep 8, 2009 9:37 pm PT
I hate projects. I think I'll be doing one soon in school though. Oh and lies! Your blogs are always "short."
Posted Sep 9, 2009 12:22 am PT
Hope you two get the project done. By the way, what kind of project is it? I may have missed it, and I do apologize.

So was it a fun experience working at the TV station?
Posted Sep 9, 2009 8:51 pm PT
@HawkGamer2008: Says the person in denial

@neerajkumar_4: Hope you find some time! It's worth definitely worth playing Thanks!

@soulless4now: I always put projects off until the last minute, and now I'm paying for it I guess...

@SonicHomeboy: Thanks! My project is designing a electronic system to track lost divers if they happen to lose track of their ship. My partner and I know how we want to do it, but things have been crazy for both of us, so we haven't had a lot of time to work on it. It was really awesome working at the TV station! They didn't trust me with any vital equipment, but I got to fix a lot of old TV monitors and other electronic stuff. I also got to meet some of the local reporters (they're not quite as easy going as they seem on camera ). I'm kind of sad my last day is tomorrow.
Posted Sep 10, 2009 7:39 pm PT
Yeah, it's not a good idea to do that in college. I've already had that problem quite a few times already.
Posted Sep 10, 2009 11:32 pm PT
All I can say is Best of Luck, Hopefully you will succeed, If you don't mind Can I ask you what are you majoring in???

Beating game on Professional difficulty was easy for us because We used co-op. Quote is awesome ..........

I pray you have an awesome week!
Posted Sep 12, 2009 9:53 am PT
@soulless4now: I think I've done that with every project I've ever had

@pakhair: Thanks! I'm in a two year college program called Electronic Engineering Technology. I can design, test, and fix electronic devices when I get my diploma. I noticed Sheva's AI is terrible in Professional Glad you like the quote.

@HawkGamer2008: No I'm not! (So I guess I am )

@furqan2006: Thanks! Yes I was a coop student at CTV.

@Sandpiper121PP: Thank you! It didn't turn too badly so I'm happy.
Posted Sep 14, 2009 11:03 am PT
yes, yes
Posted Sep 14, 2009 12:05 pm PT
...and it's not a patch on 4. Here's hoping you get good references, after all, it's a bloody tough trade this TV malarkey, unless your willing to sleep your way to the top of course....Don't do it!

I think Drambuie (?) taste's nice, it's very warming also, I can see why the scots like it.
Posted Sep 14, 2009 4:26 pm PT
@HawkGamer2008: I changed my mind.

@linkyshinks: Don't worry, I won't I have no idea how to spell Drambuie either, but the drink is awesome!
Posted Sep 16, 2009 5:42 pm PT
you can't do that
Posted Sep 16, 2009 6:09 pm PT
So,I'll "wake you up when September ends" !
