Holy ****, I can't believe I'm actually finished grade 11. It just hit me right now.XD
I'm going to be in my final year of high school this September... I don't know what the hell to think right now. D:
It's summer, at the least.^__^ In a few days, this guitar shall be mine. (: My friend's father is helping me save some money by letting have his small practice amp until I can get a decent one for myself as well.
And I also have to get a tenor saxophone to practice over the summer as well, buy some jazz books and practice, practice, practice. I still have every song that we did in concert and jazz band throughout the year (save for the Christmas medley we did in jazz band).
And since I went to one of the guidance counsellors a few days ago about my courses, I know what my timetable looks like already!
I originally wanted to have Writer's Craft ("Creative Writing", I guess they decided to give it a fancy name
) in my schedule, but the lady said that if I did have it, my first semester would be too hard for me to get good marks in my other cIasses. If I did have it in my timetable, my schedule for first semester would look like:
1. World Issues
2. Writer's Craft
3. World History
4. English
But instead, it looks like this:
1. World Issues (With the geography teacher I had in grade 9, also the one that got me hooked on the Smashing Pumpkins
)
2. English (I'm apparently going to have my grade 10 English teacher again)
3. World History (I'm hoping I have my grade 10 history teacher for this one, she's really nice and is pretty knowledgeable)
4. SPARE! (Well, I get to chill in the music room perhaps
)
And my second semester is:
1. Philosophy (I'm going to have my grade 10 Civics teacher, as confirmed from my librarian because he is taking over my teacher's first semester cIass because he will be getting his PhD during that time)
2. Drama (I have never taken drama before, but the teacher said she would recommend me for the course^__^)
3. Music (With like my favourite teacher that I have ever had, of course.
)
4. Journalism (With my grade 11 history teacher because she is the only one that teaches the course.XD This also means I'm one of the people in charge of the yearbook! Yay!)
And hopefully if I do good in journalism, I can get accepted into a university or college somewhere... I'm sort of aiming towards somewhere in Ottawa...>.> Technically I do not need to take a journalism course to major in journalism and I wouldn't be able to use that mark during application to a university or college since it's in second semester, but it would help regardless.(:
And on a completely different note, I saw Dr. Dtrangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb a week ago. I loved it. So much to the extent that Dr. Strangelove is my username on the_foreign_guy's board, "The Foreign Grounds". Pretty nice place so far, I must say, I've been visiting there everyday.(:
Oh, and I got a haircut.): Anyways, I must go now. I'm going back to the school tomorrow for people to sign my yearbook and whatnot. I shall see you later.
I'm done all of my major assignments for school now!^______^
Now all i need to worry about is exams, but I'm still not terribly worried about them. Plus, I feel a lot less stressed since handing in that history essay.![]()
Otherwise, not much else to repot on as usual. Just waiting for the end of the year, then I can finally focus more on music and Croatian.![]()
Okay, I guess game 7 in the Pittsburgh/Detroit finals is pretty awesome, can't wait for it.
Au revoir!
I've decided that I might as well not try at work for the rest of the school year and work my ass off next year. My history teacher drove up up the friggin' wall, I just can't stand her teaching styIe...XD I hope I can get my grade 10 history teacher for next year...
NIN is performing tomorrow at the Molson Ampitheatre!
That is going to be ****ing kickass.
And The Flaming Lips are planning to release a new album this fall, Embryonic, their first ever double album.O:
Bleh, I can't wait for school to get out... Almost there, it's June.D:
Au revoir.
