Yay!
What if they implemented online play/updates with the radio stations and events? OOOH, and if you can trade with Diamond Pearl and Platinum Versions, getting a full Pokedex should be much easier!
...Of course I don't have too much money now, so that's a problem but still.
I'm probably gonna keep my old DS Phat regardless, (since I don't really see much point in selling game stuff for like 1/20 of what I payed, plus it's nice to have the GBA slot as an option, regardless of how much I actually play now) but I don't know if the new features are enough to buy me over (right away.
).
I like the concepts of the online store, free improved browser (though I probably wouldn't use that much either, unless it has flash), and free nintendo points right off the bat, and I suppose the music editing thing might be fun for a while, but the thing doesn't look all that good when it's closed, and I don't think holding it would be very comfortable either. Plus, .3 Megapixel camera? Really? POINTTHREE? Pretty lame. That's all I've got to say about it for now.
So for a while now we've had this X-box 360 with no internet connection, like a reality tv show without the stupid people to make fun of, and just like what I toldmy dad and brotherwould happen before we got the wireless adapter today, the signal wasn't strong enough. Wonderful. So now either we've got to move the 360 upstairs to a less impressive-looking television, or we've gotta move all the computer stuff and router downstairs. And I REALLY want that Fallout 3 DLC... plus a ton of other stuff on Live.
Got a 360 Elite via a good deal on craigslist, included Gears of War, Guitar Hero II with controller, DDR, Rayman Raving Rabbids, GRAW (don't think I'll be playing any of those three), Forza 2, Marvel UA, XBLA unplugged, a bunch of downloaded demos and a movie, extra controller, and an intercooler. My dad bought Burnout Revenge and my bro and I got Crackdown, Orange Box, and Gears 2. I like it. Maybe I'll start playing shooters.
We rented Fallout 3, me being unsure about liking it at first. It's amazing. Definitely gonna buy that eventually. Don't have Live yet since the 360 isn't close to a port, but hopefully I'll be playing online soon. (and downloading boatloads of demos)
I've been majorly procrastinating with my college applications; like I haven't even finished one yet and the early deadline for my first choice, UMBC, passed last week. I've also got that library book I haven't been reading when my goal was to read two pages every day, and my second SAT is in less than a month and I've hardly practice. Plus there's the homework from the one class I get homework in that I've been doing the morning it's due. There's also like, 3 job applications I have yet to finish. Yeah, I suck.
Plus, the desktop got screwed up again. It wasn't as bad though, most of the data is copied onto the external hard drive or my Zune, but it's still a pain, y'know? I wanna be able to dual boot Ubuntu onto this thing but my dad's skeptical and doesn't want it taking up space
Hmm, that wasn't a very quick update. Oh, well. I'd better quit slacking off and do one of the 20 things I've put off.
