as the title suggests, I have acquired a certain item named PlayStation Portable (version 2000) from my friend.
So far, I haven't done anything with it, but I'm sure I'll be buying some games for it, starting with God of War.

And i bought myself Uncharted 2 today also. I blazed it through right after i bought it, and i'm at chapter 18.
One gripe about the game is that supernatural thing makes it's comeback here as well. never liked those zombies in Uncharted 1.

And of course, the Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition. I pre-ordered it, the one of the only two copies in my city probably. So here are the pictures, feast your eyes gentlemen, for you may never see such rare and beautiful package.

a little shot with the artbook, receipt and the package

artbook and the package. the bloated package cover art is actually japan/asia/korea version of the cover art.
and personally, it delivers a better interpretation of this game, which pretty much is dying. A LOT.

a look at the game case itself (the bloated cover holds both the game case and the official guidebook) pretty cool looking knight there. too bad he's gonna die soon.

the back cover

the inside of the case. pretty cool looking dragon on the disc. apparently he's not even the final boss.

with the manual opened up. surprisingly, it has a full-colour manual. not sure about states, but we canadians usually get black and white manual if it's not a niche game. i found it interesting.

the official guidebook. 160 pages. the cover art is probably one of the archstones.

inside the guide. it has pretty nice job of how to defeat a boss, but it doesnt really go deep enough for a in-depth walk through. it does give you some useful hints tho. and some of the item locations can be very helpful.
btw, that tower knight (right) is easy. if you can hit him from far away. otherwise, think about fighting a gigantic guy with a shield that is size of a house with your sword.

teh pre-order bonus, artbook. sadly it wasnt hardcover, but w/e, it's still awesome.

an amazing concept art (it actually shows up during the gameplay). it has few of these, and just absolutely gorgeous enemy designs, plus NPC intros, which i will show u with next pic.

Yuria, the Witch. For those of you who are not familliar with the game, you can kill every single NPC in this game. Just don't expect them to revive until you start a New Game. Yes, that means if you kill a girl who raises your stats (every stats), you are pretty much screwed. that goes for the same with magic instructors. funny thing is, there is an NPC that you save who will secretly start assassinating these NPCs. Or, an NPC will approach you and give you a list of NPCs that needs to be assassinated. It's entirely up to you.

There is the OST. Although it's not orchestral music (it's not midi, but it's not a big scale orchestra either. or it sounds like it to me), the musics are great in this game. it's just that you don't really get to hear it a lot since bgm comes out almost only during boss battles (and while you are in nexus)

there's a shot with everything. very satisfying purchase, i must admit. it's worth 90 bucks.

a shot with my other two collector's item. i have tons of special edition DVDs, but it seems I only have 3 special edition games. or 4, if you count the Zelda Collector's Edition. I pre-ordered the Metroid Prime Trilogy (I own the first on GC tho), and I bought MGS4 LE for 10 bucks during a sale (and I have a normal copy too)

i'm really considering on making some 4-panel web comics with this game. it has so many episodes as a gamer that im pretty sure can be shared by anyone who played this game (and with those you havent tried yet too).

instead of doing the usual Top 5 Saturday, I would like to celebrate yet another dreafully moe-filled anime season that just arrived last week.
Note that the order they are presented are not necessarily related to how much i like them.
Also, this blog maybe very hard to comprehend if you are not an anime fan

Sora no Otoshimono

- What is it?: A random anime where a random guy meets a random angel that has this random device that spawns random items and do random things as the random guy randomly wishes.

- Hate the main character; reminds me of the main character in Doraemon (no, not the doraemon)
- a little too cliched subject?
- that hentai senpai is awesomeness
- In the end, tho, i dont really wanna watch it. ill probably drop this

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Purezza

- What is it?: Anime about a rich ojou-sama actually being a hardcore mahou shoujo otaku. And some lucky guy who accidently finds out about it and uses it to blackmail her. (Note: this may have been a little altered description due to personal hate against the main character)

- Noto, Kawaii yo Noto.
- New character comes out this season, voiced by none other than Kugimiya Rie (Louise from ZnT, Alphonse from FMA)
- It's just like last season: it's not terribly bad, but it's not amazing either
- one of those comfortable animes, you know.
- wait, erase that, if you don't have a girlfriend, this one might tick you off
- a lot.

Kimi ni Todoke

- What is it?: a romance anime between Sadako from Ring and a real cool looking guy.

- Amazing, simply amazing.
- I know many of people in GS think they are all manly and sweaty so they don't like romances
- but this one looks just simply amazing
- not suprising that the original is one of the most beloved shoujo manga in market right now
- Noto, Kawaii yo Noto.
- great drawing style, it's looks good even for a shoujo haters (i think)
- Just going by atmosphere, I might like this as much as Aoi Hana (amazing anime as well)

Sasameki Koto

- What is it?: "I love you but you love him, but he loves her, who loves me" changed to "I love you but you love her, but she loves her, who loves me". In other words, love triangle relationship among lesbian girls.

- This one started better than I thought.
- That twist about the senpai was unexpected. what an epic drama lol
- Poor main character, she got rejected even before confessing her feelings
- I'm little worried about voice actors here
- OP/ED by Kiyoura Natsumi (famed for her works in Spice and Wolf OP, arguably one of the best anime songs ever)
- I'll keep my eye on this one, it seems like it will get very interesting
- Please don't pull another Kannazuki no Miko or Strawberry Panic

Queen's Blade; Gyokuza wo Tsugu Mono

- What is it?: a battle tournament bettween huge breasted female characters who tends to have very weak clothes that rips very easily to show private parts of their body as if they aren't private at all.

- NIX NIX NIX NIX NIX NIX NIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
- tentacles ftw
- Noto, Kawaii yo, Noto
- Nix is awesome.
- screw Elina, she should go to hell
- very dangerous Ending theme.
- no, cross that out, the WHOLE anime is dangerous

Darker Than Black -Ryusei no Gemini-

- What is it?: sequel to an espionage anime that features an electrifying Chinese man, a talking black cat, a post-traumatic ex-cop and an emotionless moving doll.

- As expected, it's still amazing.
- As expected, tons of people die in first episode
- As expected, tons of important people die in first episode
- Yin, anyone?
- if Misaki doesn't show up, I'm dropping this
- Shion's voiced by Kuwashima Houko (Isara from Valkyria Chronicles), so it's pretty much confirmed that he's gonna die.
- overall, it seems to be the best anime in the season so far.

Kampfer

- What is it?: A guy who transforms into a girl to fight... something

- Superb line-up of voice actors
- But that's about it
- Mizuki Nana, Tamura Yukari, Inoue Marina AND Horie Yui?
- They must have spent a lot of money on hiring voice actors
- as for the story, it looks like it's going to be interesting, but something tells me it's gonna screw it up
- Just watching it for the sake of voice actors

Nyan Koi!

- What is it?: a blood-splatting, limb-ripping battle royale between Che-Guevara-turned-Garfield and a random high school boy who can speak the tongue of cats (Note: no, it's not true)

- I wasn't really expecting, but this looks good
- Director and Screenwriter: both from Hayate no Gotoku first season
- was... was that Major Kusanagi (Ghost in Shell) voicing that fat cat??
- The whole humour is pretty funny
- nothing amazing here, but it is satisfying

Tatakau Shisho

- What is it?: a magic-weirding librarians (yes, librarians) fighting a religious cult that uses human bombs (sounds familliar?)

- Wow, this is awesome anime.
- There really isn't many way of describing this other than saying it is awesome
- very unique universe, with intriguing story
- smooth fight scenes with unique abilities
- Sawashiro Miyuki plays a role here, and she is, as I have said before, an awesome voice actress.
- Romi Park (Edward in FMA) also plays a role.
- the atmosphere feels similar to DTB, which is a good thing.
- I recommend this to anyone who watches anime

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun

- What is it?: bizzare combination of sci-fi, fantasy, yuri, and more yuri.

- Kuroko = 60 year old granny
- It's Railgun, so no way this is gonna fail.
- Yui from K-ON comes out as a girl with flower on her head (literally)
- the art quality will probably stay at where it is now, considering it's J.C. Staff. And that's a good thing.
- If you liked Toaru Majitsu no Index, you should check this one out too.

Seitokai no Ichizon

- What is it?: ... I don't really know, actually. I just know it's a parody anime.

- The best male main character in the history of harem animes
- the best, the best, the best.
- A very parody-heavy slice of life anime.
- I somehow understood every single one of the parody, so it shouldn't be hard.
- It just may be our aternative to Lucky Star 2nd season

Seiken no Blacksmith

- What is it?: A story of a female knight with soul lvl 1, and her blacksmith with soul lvl 712

- beautiful fight scenes
- Hopefully this will continue throughout the series
- What's wrong with the girl? she's all talks and she can't do a thing
- The girl looks like Misaka Mikoto with red hair and no Tsun.
- Ending by Hirasawa Yui
- A little too fast-paced?
- This one may end up like Asura Crying, but I'm still gonna stay on with this

I recommend
1. DARKER THAN BLACK -Ryusei no Gemini-
2. Kimi ni Todoke
3. Tatakau Shisho
4. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
5. Seitokai no Ichizon

.... AKA "Best Song Written by anyone other than Queen or The Beatles"

Even though this list may contain songs that are way too popular to make it interesting in anyway, just bear with me, for I am not a hardcore music fan. (I think)

5. Dazed and Confused - Led Zeppelin
My favourite Led Zep song. Robert Plant probably is the best vocalist after Freddie. I used to like Stairways to Heaven, but that song's overrated in my opinion. This song, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Whole Lotta Love, Moby Dick.... just so many great songs.

4. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses
Great riff, orgasmic vocal, awesome solo. Everything that makes Guns N' Roses are all there.

3. My Brain is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes to Bitburg) - The Ramones
Best song from the best punk band of all time. 'Nuff said.

2. In My Darkest Hour - Megadeth
As a Megadeth fan, I think this is their best song. Meaning, I feel this is a better song than Symphony of Destruction or Holy Wars.
This song was first written when Dave Mustaine (Megadeth's guitarist) first heard of the death of his friend and former Metallica bass player (Mustaine was in Metallica before he quit and formed his new band which is Megadeth) Cliff Burton. However, the lyrics are completely unrelated, as it is about his anger towards his ex.

1. Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
Arguably the best song by The Stones. It is also known for its extensive usage in Martin Scorsese's movies.

Sorry for lack of pictures, I was little lazy this time. Help yourself with this one I guess

I mean no offence
