I am now a married man. It's nice. Not a huge change for a guy whose been dating the same girl for over 8 years, but still nice.
After our two-week-long sojourn in Tokyo, I arrived back in our home only to discover a few troubling things. First, someone drank all of our wine. Damn wino house-sitters. Chris will pay. Second, my PC is BSOD'ing with one of those lovely stop errors Windows users have come to dread so much. This means no LOTRO, no S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and no Europa Universalis. Third, my Wii wasn't recognizing any of the Wiimotes. Fourth and finally, my car wouldn't turn on.
It's the fall of the machines.
No problem, though. We bought some more wine. I figured out how to clear sync on the Wii (hold the little red sync button for 15 seconds when you first turn it on. then re-sync each Wiimote manually). I, thanks to a pair of saintly auto mechanics, was able to get a new battery purchased and installed for cheap. And my PC... my PC... is still broken. I can surf the web, but gaming is a no-no. I dread the potential truth of the problem, and my hobbit must be so lonely right now.
What this continues to mean, however, is that I am spending more and more time on consoles. I borrowed Geoff's PS2 so I could finally finish FFXII. I bought Pokemon Pearl and have been obsessively watering the Sinnoh region's flora for the past few weeks. Leon and I have been bonding as we share experiences in the Wii version of Resident Evil 4. Katie and I have been getting down in the Star Carnival at least once every other night. Fun times for all.
However, I still miss my baby, my creation, my not-so-little mechanical love. And meanwhile, I'm missing out on the Shores of Evendim update for LOTRO. Curses.
