Actually I knew that already, but now I'm just pissed off. It was my case XION 450w with a 18A 12V rail. I installed my 7900GS, but after booting (with super low res), my computer won't stop rebooting after 4-6 seconds of logging in. My power supply is weak, but surely it can at least RUN the 7900GS at a less than optimal power, right? You guys really should help me before I either 1. Go insane-r 2. spend a lot of money on a PSU that might not even be the problem...
Btw, sometimes the computer makes a quick low pitched beep, yet I can't find what the beep code it...

Yes, I was going to buy another one today, but I kinda want to make sure it's the PSU's fault before blowing XX dollars. You know any good ones in particular?

There's three that I highly recommend for around $100: The Corsair HX520w, the Silverstone ST50EF-Plus, and the Enermax Liberty ELT500w.

Wow...that's a lot. But those probably wouldn't ever crap out on me, would they...

Not until 32nm processors become the norm anyway.

what about a Logisys, or w/e. They seem pretty decent, and they got pretty good reviews or should I stick with a brand name PSU

I'd never buy a power supply without active PFC at this point, something Logisys doesn't seem to offer.

No Logisys. My mom's 500 watt Logisys that was running a Celeron 2.0Ghz just died on her a few months back. But 450 watts? are you overclocking? a P4 by chance? because that should work at stock speeds....

No, my amd 64 3800+. And it worked fine for the x850xt, just now. I forgot the x850xt's PSU requirements, but it ran fine. the 7900GS has 2 molex cables coming out though, and i connected them both, they lead to the PSU but I have them daisy chained to the case fan molex'es too

Disconnect one of those molex connectors.

Basically, try removing parts to see if you can isolate the problem - but really, I'd advise against case power supplies, and hope you upgrade out of that one sooner or later.
