And that game is amazing. They lady let us play two levels after customizing our Sack Boy. My Sack Boy had super shaggy blonde hair, a pink swim suit, black boots, crazy thick moustache, a cape, a sword, and star sunglasses. He was rockin'. The first level we played was the skate board level. All four of us jumped on the skate board and it started rollin' down a huge ramp. We hit a few jumps and lost some dudes. At the end, I came in first, somehow. The second level had a bunch of ponies we had to ride. Somehow I came in first again. That game will be my life.
I got there at 10:30 and waited in line until about 2:15. When I got onto the show floor, I did a quick lap around every booth to pick up any sweet swag I could get my hands on. I did a video of all that stuff but I forgot my chord so I can't upload any of it until Sunday night, or maybe Monday.
I got a picture with Brian Crecente. Played Legendary and Reset Generation (I didn't want to play it but I couldn't say no to the half-naked lady at the booth!) Saw a bunch of Fable II and Fallout 3 get played. So amazing. Also saw a good portion of the Gears of War 2 multiplayer get played. That's Gears alright. I don't remember what else I saw, but come Sunday, or Monday, I'll upload every video and picture I took!
Oh yeah, also saw that Ken Levine dude. He had a keynote address. I love that guy.
I had to work today. It turned out to be just another lame day of work, until the end. I was "closing up shop" when I get a text message. It's from an unknown number so naturally I ignore it. Turns out it was the girl that works the front desk where I work. She apparently went through some files and found my number. So obviously she likes me. I talked with her for a bit and quickly learned she's 19, has two kids, recently got divorced, and never finished High School. Hah, hey, no thanks.
Here's the first two text messages I got from her.
1. "Hey!"
2. "did your mom cook dinner?"
What a creep!
What did we learn today kids? That's right, stay home and play your video games.
In other not so interesting news, I'm just about ready for PAX. I just need to book a hotel still and recieve my other paycheck. I have no idea how this trip will turn out, but you can expect tons of video blogs from me, unless I forget my camera.
