So i finally am taking classes for my teaching credentials. All i can say is living in Cali has its ups and downs, weather is nice with plenty of smokin' hotties, yeah i said smokin' hottes, walkin around. But Cali is a very diverse state and has many issues when it comes to education. English Language Learners are the biggest issue for teacher now a days. Should we let, which happens to be many illegal immigrants children, in and advance in school when their level of proficient learning in english is at levels well below average. Should they be taught in a different manner, should the entire class be slowed down, should a new style of teaching be developed. Well it turns out that a new style of teaching is being developed for teachers to learn. I have witnessed this hands on in a class room i am observing, the problem isn't the students, necessarily, its teachers, faculty, administrators, policy makers. No child left behind had to be by far the dumbest thing i have ever heard, shouldn't expect much from a C level college student, looking at you G.W. Policy making needs to be taken out of teaching, standardizing hasn't helped, and to all of you who think our country isn't socialist the public school system which you fund with taxpayers dollars is socialism along with public works and social security, it works, Europe has proven that. Back on topic, teachers need to be able to teach not standardize the children! I fear i might have to leave, what could be a great country, for one were education isn't left in the corrupt hand of our officials. Yes it might not be better anywhere else, but with a masters degree i would be free to teach students in places like London, Australia, etc. My life is going to get interesting in the next few years!

Isn't it interesting everyone or group has their own 'ideas' and to them every other 'idea' is considered wrong, not complete, crazy, etc.

Religion - since when did people of faith allow themselves to believe their beliefs and practices are better or more correct than anothers to the point they should kill or harm them?

Politics - since when did people start to believe that just because someone/group has a different system it is your right to want to change it or feel their system is worse just because you don't agree with it to the point of conquering them?

i mean really the idea of patriotism has also become a growing problem to the point were, people believe just because they live inside the imaginary lines on the ground we call borders, makes them anymore special than their neighboring countries.

Did you know that a person of 'white' decent can be more DNA related to a person of 'black' decent compared to that of another 'black' person. i use color because the words Caucasian and African-American don't fly. why do we just make these large generalizations when everyone wants to be different? we really need to get passed our obsession with being so different or special.

You see what i am trying to say here, people use large modes of operation to justify the hidden motives, religion is about being a good person and leading a good life, not being sucked into a cult of practices and hatred towards others beliefs. Politics should be used to help preserve the natural born rights of all humans, not a justification for dominance and/or control over another.

We all have different ideas and beliefes, we all look different, but where it counts there is nothing that seperates us. So are you going to be a human being or just pretend?

But! I am going to get a refurbished Mac, either the newer 2.0ghz or the MacAir. So anyone have any suggestions, I am always on the go, i am just going to use it for school mostly surfing the web, doing office documents, running photoshop. I don't play games on my computer at all and i rarely download things. So any suggestions or tips would be awesome, thanks!
