I got a xbox 360 and was really excited, i popped the disc in and the console is so loud, its so annoying, i just got one of those silver ps2s and i love it, i sont care about graphics much i just want something to play thats fun . plus the xbox 360 was always overheating , it made my entertainment center feel like a toaster with just 29 minutes of gameplay. All that money for a heat box, that basically just always talks about online play.

That’s why I got an extra fan mod but I have had no serious problems with over heating. However if you don’t have money for a fan just turn it off at the wall when you are not using it the only down side of this fix is that you have to keep resetting the time. As for the sound it really depends what game you have in the 360 my loudest game is Double Agent my quietest game oddly enough is Gears of War. I am amazed that ps3 are worse.

You must've gotten a bad 360 and God_father_87 a bad ps3. Keep your receipts so you can take defective equipment back and try and get better equipment.

The fan is probibly worth the money but I personally can't be bothered. Next gen has pros and cons on all systems, your right your safest bet is still the ps2 at the moment.
