Ok some of you may have seen my post a while back now when i was planning on getting a new phone but sadly i found out i couldn't pgrade for another 3 months well that 3 months comes to an end next week and well now it's decision time. The phones i have looked at are a lot different to the ones i put forward in my other post but that's technology for you it's a fast moving industry.

The first phone i am looking at is the Samsung Omnia and to be honest i haven't been able to find a fault with with it while i have had a go of it as my mate has this phone.

Samsung Omnia

It really does have everything it crazy just check out this review but i don't know if it can compete with the N96 once that is released and that is next on my phone to look at.

So the Nokia N96 well the only thing i can think of that it doesn't have a touch screen but i don't know if you would say that is a negative. In terms of features it has everything the Omnia has except it also has a tv tuner although that isn't being used yet in the UK so that is kind of pointless currently.

Nokia N96

There is one slight sticking point with this phone is there may be a bit of a hefty upfront payment for it probably around £100 which i don't mind paying as long as it is the best phone on the market at that time and it still hasn't got a 100% concrete release date.

I have to say it is probably going to be between the two above to be honest but there are a couple of other phones that i may accept but only if there is little chance of getting the above two. The first being the Sony Ericsson C902 while it is lacking some of the high end features that the aove two offer it still offers a lot but im not sure if it is enough for me to purchase it.

Sony Ericsson C902

The reviews have been quite favourable of the phone you can check one out here and it isn't a bad looking phone either.

Samsung i8510

The second phone that i would look at i the Samsung i8510 it is the first smart phone in Europe to have an 8meg camera and the specs do look pretty good. So i think that would definitely be worth a look into but i don't think it is a better phone that the first two phones listed here.

The Omnia has been out for about a week or so on Orange but they always sign contracts with certain networks who offer them the most and then will become available on other networks in time normally not long after but sometimes it can be long term like the one that O2 has with Apple with the iphone it's a one year contract for them to get the iphone exclusive for one year before any other network can offer it.
