Hello
Everyone okay?
Sorry if my poems make me out to be unhappy and permanently depressed
I'm not, just a bit, blah. Hormones n stuff
TV Reviews
Heroes: One Giant Leap - still a bit slow, but this is very good. We get to see Sylar in action, Hiro continues to entertain, and the Peter/Simone story is nice. 7/10
Hex: Season 2, Ep 1 - a great series opener, this is about as good as the show ever gets. There's a scary monster, loads of laugh out loud moments concerning Thelma, the cool new character Ella, and a horrible murder at the end. 9/10
Doctor Who: Blink - just so good. A slow first half and then a second half that flies by, it's a beacon of hope in the below-par third series. 10/10
Music Reviews
Placebo: Without You I'm Nothing - containing the brilliant track of the title of this album, as well as other great songs such as Allergic (to Thoughts of Mother Earth) and The Crawl, this is a very good album. Perhaps not the best, but close. 8/10
Queens of the Stone Age: Era Vulgaris - not the strongest lot of songs this band has put out, with several that just don't work. There are several highlights though, such as Sick, Sick, Sick and Make it Wit Chu. 7/10
30 Seconds to Mars: A Beautiful Lie - mostly brilliant songs, although the last few are a bit weak, this is tons better than their first album. Favourite tracks: From Yesterday and The Fantasy. 8/10
Lyrics for the Blog (from Distraction - by Angels and Airwaves)
There's a field nearby / With words written in stone / My love will not die / Please let it be known / This place is dead / It echoes through town / There isn't one voice / I haven't heard a sound
Another poem...The Reinvention Cycle
A tired mind / Exhausted body / Soul and spirit ready to give way / Reinvent yourself again
Become bigger, faster, stronger / Funnier, happier, just different to the previous you / A revised edition of that tired mind and exhausted body / Breathe new invigorating life into that crumbling soul and spirit
But this reinvention is only temporary / Just one in a long line / And as your mind, body, soul and spirit is torn to ragged shreds yet again / Another reinvention is required
And more quotes from good ol' Mock the Week:
-- Unlikely lines to hear in Doctor Who -
"Looks like we've materialized into the 19th century, oh no, it's Glasgow 2007."
"I'm here to save the Earth, but as a Doctor I won't be working evenings or weekends."
(Dalek Voice) "Welcome to my Dalek Poetry Recital! This poem is called Daffodils! EXTERMINATE DAFFODILS!"
-- Worst thing to hear your new neighbor say --
"What day do the bins go out round here? My wife's body is starting to stink!"
"My wife and I are nudists, and have been for the past 70 years."
Song for the Blog - This Picture: by Placebo.
Next time: Thoughts on Family Guy and why I'm so obsessed with Placebo, as well as the usual Fireexit blog things. Thanks for reading. Byeeeeeee ![]()

Yeah, Matt, I'm currently going through series 5 - borrowed it off a friend
It's a good thing you told before hand that your poem would be showing a little depression cause I would be worried. Hope by now, you are feeling better.
I don't know a lot of Placebo, but what I heard I like
S2 Hex is pretty damn good. But I found Malachi irritating - probably the actor as much as the character.
At the mo listening to Sarah McLachlen Afterglow (Track: Drifting). I love Sarah. But she's not particularly hip.
please im desperate .. can anyone send me a link for the mock the week where the scene we'd like to see is - the worst thing to hear your new neighbour say. thankyou xx

Looking forward to your thoughts on Family Guy - I had told you to watch that quite a while ago, before you'd seen it. I guess now you've watched it - I hope you like it!
