I started Jumpmaster training this week and really got in over my head. For more details see the Wiki description

This week was a written exam on nomenclature (terminology), I aced it but missed my JMPI test time limit by 50 seconds. See this video for what JMPI is.

I must inspect three jumpers rigged up in less than 5 min and identify all major deficiencies in a pre-determined order. It is an extremely anal inspection standard, that I agree with since we are the last inspection given to each jumper prior to the actual jump.

I also researched my jumps to determin I now have 28 recorded jumps. If I pass this course (and get at least two more jumps during the course I will be rated as a senior parachutist.

This has been one of my career goals, so I am very focused. Wish me luck, I re-test Monday on JMPI.

Airborne!

A small picture of the parachute I used on the 17th of Sept. I had a chance to jump from a C-17 Globemaster aircraft at 1200 feet.

WOW, I had fun and it has been several years since I had jumped. It brought back many memories.

I landed safe and look forward to jumping more! To date I have 19 jumps and hope to have 35 by next year!

After the dust settled in our new home we had to make a few purchases. As a result we ended up getting a new desktop and slim PS2. We also bought a new multitap for the slimline and then we able to use the multiplayer feature in some pretty good games we already had.

R&C Deadlocked

Godzilla unleashed

Time splitters 2

Pro Race driver

Shrek

It was that or buy new PS3 controllers (since two would cost $108, the slimline was only $129 + $5 for a multitap on clearance).

Soooo for this blog tell me your favorite game to play with other people (IN YOUR HOUSE). Some games have a good multiplayer (online) and some are good for split screen / LAN party. What do you use? (Be sure to only post games for four players)

I will tell you hands down the Wii wins for appeal factor to all ages, but the PS games seem more geared to guys preferences.

Other than that I am just playing COD4 online and have just entered the third round of prestige mode (beat all 55 levels twice already). I know I play it too much. But I MUST GET THAT IRON CROSS!! That ties into my next topic PSN trophies. It just started and folks are already collecting them like GS emblems. My friend Canana32 has a cabinet full and is level 3. I researched to find out how to get them and found this trophy guide.

Then I promptly ordered Stardust thru the PSN network (downloaded) and Drakes from eBay ($33). Since these title support trophies. Well they are not easy so maybe some other day I can earn them.

Wow that was quite long. Later

The Great Raid
This is a good movie that entertains both the casual military afficianado and the war movie guru!

The story is one of the greatest examples of this type of operation and the movie is balanced with emotional dilemas, action, and...
