Right away a lot of work

Hej all!

I know, I know, it has been ages since my last blog. The last two weeks of my holiday went by way too fast! After I got back from my holiday to Germany, I only had one week left. In that week I hung out with friends a bit, I went back to work again and just tried to enjoy the last days to the fullest! And then, before you know it you're back in school again. It's my final year and I'm happy and at the same time unhappy about that. Happy, because this means that after this year I'm finally done with high school and I can go and do whatever education I want. I'm also a bit unhappy about it, because I'm definitely NOT looking forward for my exams. I don't have to worry about that yet though, so for now it's all good!

In our final year we have to do a so called graduation essay, which you have to work on through out the year. You can pick your own topic though and me and my friend picked the loss of memory among elderly people. You have to spend 80 hours on it, which is quite a lot, but I'm just happy you can do it about something you're interested in. Right away, on the first day back at school, we started on our essay and we've been working on it quite some hours already this week. I think all the teachers think it's important that we get off to a good start and I guess they're right. You always tend to put everything off until the last minute, and with this that's just not an option. So that means no easy start this year, and right away a lot of work.

Well the mean reason for this blog was actually something else. Exactly today, one year ago I joined this awesome site. Yes people, it's my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

I must say the year has gone by pretty fast! I've met so many AWESOME people on here, and for that I'm very thankful. When I joined this site I never thought something like that would happen, but it has. I enjoy coming here to post blogs, in which I can share my experiences, vend my emotions, and chat with all of you of course. The fact that I have a such a place, where you can be just your own self, is something of great value for me. I love talking about all the shows I watch and so much more. So thanks you guys for making this such an awesome place to be!

An appropiate poem:

It has been quite some time as well since the last round of my game and now I'm finally going to put up a new one! Oke, so here it is:

This show was first turned down by a certain network and later on it was considered as a possible 10-part mini-series. A year later the network had a change of heart and backed the production. What show am I talking about?

All the chances are wide open for everyone! Good luck guessing!

Here's the score we have so far:

David - 1 point

Leo - 1 point

Hayley - 1 point

And then we have this week's quote:

Elaine Connelly: He... what? He infected you with life?
Old Paul Edgecomb: That's as good a word as any. He infected us both, didn't he, Mr. Jingles? With life. I'm a hundred and eight years old, Elaine. I was forty-four the year that John Coffey walked the Green Mile. You mustn't blame John. He couldn't have what happened to him... he was just a force of nature. Oh I've lived to see some amazing things Elly. Another century come to past, but I've... I've had to see my friends and loved ones die off through the years... Hal and Melinda... Brutus Howell... my wife... my boy. And you Elaine... you'll die too, and my curse is knowing that I'll be there to see it. It's my torment you see; it's my punishment, for letting John Coffey ride the lightning; for killing a miracle of God. You'll be gone like all the others. I'll have to stay. I'll die eventually, that I'm sure. I have no illusions of immortality, but I will await your death... long before death finds me. In truth, I wish for it already.

- The Green Mile

I watched this movie somewhere on my holiday and I must say this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I heard a lot about it already, but never got to the part of actually seeing it. Well on my holiday I had the time to do so and I enjoyed every minute of it. I also read the book and I must say they did a tremendous job turning it into a movie. On top of the wonderful story, the acting is amazing as well.

And not to forget this week's joke/funny story:

A tough looking biker had been in the biker bar for quite some time when he finally decided it was time, once again to hit the road. He stepped through the front door of the bar and instantly realized that his bike had vanished from the spot he had parked it.

"All right" he said loudly, coming back into the busy biker bar "I'm going to have a shot of whisky and if my hog isn't back up front by the time I'm done, what happened in Detroit will happen here too!"

With that many of the bikers ran out of the bar and within moments one came back to tell the tough biker that his hog was now parked in front of the bar for him. When the tough guy started to leave the bartender asked him.

"Pardon me, stranger, but what happened in Detroit?" The tough biker replied casually: "I had to walk back to my hotel!"

That was it again! I hope you all enjoyed it!

Enjoy the last day of your weekend and have a great week!

*huge hugs*
