I just got a new Xbox and it has one of the newer drives I heard about. It IS quiet, but it makes different noises. First off, it makes a low whistling sound a few minutes after starting up and also makes a louder noise when it's booted up with a disc in it. It MIGHT just be the different drive, so I'm just going to wait it out.
Portal consists of 19 chapters and I beat 17 of them myself without help at all each in less than twenty minutes. Most I beat in probably less than ten or even five. Only chapter 18 and 19 are hard and although I have skipped around in them, they are difficult. It's just too short, and for 90% of the game too easy. The dry, deadpan humor is great, but there isn't much there for story or character development. Just an insane, malfunctioning robot. Chell is just like Gordan Freeman bar his character development from the games. She doesn't talk, but she never really develops, unlike Freeman, who has a background.
Messing with portals is fun enough, but the game is just WAY too short, and is a letdown.
I'd also like to note that I can actually play Bioshock soon, as in my Xbox is expected to return this week. Hopefully Monday, which is tommorow. Can't wait to give it a good long try. ![]()
