Time for some rock 'n' roll photography. Their own description of "Ray Charles meets AC/DC" comes close enough to encapsulate the essence of Little Caesar, who boast a dynamic, soulful singer over hardest rock. Back with all its original members from its inception in the Golden Era of Geffen Metal, the late 80's/early 90's, (since their original recordings were on Geffen: remember their cover of "Chain Of Fools"?) they sound just as good if not better. Their distinct modus operandi includes wild slide guitar, referential R&B, timber-toppling beats, arena-worthy hardcoreness, distinct personas onstage and the cleverest lyrics since Randy Newman and Bon Scott.

I don't have the regular show photo yet which highlights the blue ribbon and first place sign better, but here's my proud mom off in the sidelines snap of my friend showing Karis, my deerhound, to first place in American Bred B i tch in the big Western Sighthound Regional show last week, of which my decorations were a part. Basically, someone who knew what they were doing handlingmy dog made all the difference.

The Hudsucker Proxy
Gosharooney, we still don't have the word "Coen-esque" in our cinema lexicon. When the brothers tackle comedy, the Capra-esque singularity of their style should conjure all manner of specific and style-centric wonders. Take yer...

Touch of Evil
Man oh man! Folks claim Orson Welles only had one titanic film in him, and they couldn't be more wrong. Since he began his career with his most masterful work, the variants on his genius cinema sense are dismissed as lesser: completely erroneous-...

New York Doll
Many great reasons to watch this film about the weirdo world of Arthur Kane: I'ts an accurate documentary on a difficult subject with which to be objective: the post-rock-stardom life of a well known musician who bottomed out. Kane had been by far...

Start the Revolution Without Me
WAY underrated, due to variety of reasons, mainly that this screwball historical comedy didn't utilize its contemporary satirical context of the late 1960's (a la "M*A*S*H") and consequently was forgotten. Luckily a cult status of sorts...
