Ok, so I'm new to this blog business so be gentle. I find my summer to be something of a paradox. College is done until September so I've loads of free time. However, the place I work can only use me at weekends so I've limited supplies of money. Plenty of time to play games but no money to buy them. So I find myself playing my (although I say myself) pretty decent collection of PS2, PC and Gamecube games. This also gives me a chance to dig up some really great games that I'd forgotten about. Games like Jak and Daxter: The Precurser Legacy, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Second Sight. I'll be getting my PS3 next week which will be just in time for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots. This game is something special. This will be one of the most significant games of my life but will also carry with it a little sadness. Guns of The Patriots is to be the last in the Metal Gear Solid series and although we'll have more Metal Gear games, it simply won't carry the anticipation and exitement that I've felt with this one. Of course there'll be other games and other series, Metal Gear Solid was the first one I ever really got into so, in light of these last few days, Solid Snake, here's to you.
