are you writing this from a Mexican prison? Did you finally get abducted by the policia or did you make it through the underground railroad back to the great white north?

This is my first post from my new post which is part of the system that included my old post. I went back to Canader for the summer after a disappointing 9 months in Felipe Calderon's drug war ravaged Sinaloa, Mexico, and was unable to get a job. I had forgotten that 50 year old white males are the most reviled creature on earth. Well, perhaps that honour belongs to baby seals, but stupid white men surely run a close second. So they offered me money to return to southern Mexico and sit in an office with a working computer while trying to figure out why. I'm in the mountains away from some of the more paranoid aspects of this life brought on by expat pacheco being. In truth I have no idea what I'm doing. However, I do have a computer again. And a job.
The co-option of the Second Law of Thermodynamics as a creationist argument is something I was introduced to at my last job. I had never heard of such a thing before and was irritated to have to take a side trip into Christianity while trying to grasp a usage of the 2nd Law in an economics doctorate paper. It was a difficult enough thing to get without people tossing magical energy transference mechanics into the lot and asserting impossible directions for energy to flow when it clearly does. It's somewhat akin to the arguments I've heard offered up to justify not implementing socialized medicine in the US. Completely derail the discussion with apocryphal nonsense. Anyway ... the first half of Prototype was fun, huh?
