So I thought I would finally leave a long blog today considering its been a while. I've been gaming it up all the same but as for the rest of 2009, let's just say I can't wait for 2010. Not gaming wise but life wise. If anyone has been following my updates to "My Collection" everyone should be up to my new games.
About 22 years ago my mother made me the greatest Link costume and up until now it has been my favortie costume I ever wore. I'll post a picture up of it as soon as I find it. Sadly, 2 months ago my mom passed away of cancer. I miss her so much and I didn't think it would hurt this bad considering I'm 27 but you never can prepare for something like this. To pay respect to how wonderful my mother was to me and my siblings I will be doing all I can to remember and relive all the times of the year she made extra special. This year I will be constructing a new Link costume, classic 8-bit Link to be exact, I will post a picture of it with my 5 year old picture of me as Link. I'll keep everyone up to date on how the construction goes.
Now on a brighter note. I have obtained a game that is very very hard to find and it was brand new. Back in March the game Rune Factory Frontier came out and I really wanted it. Problem was was that my funds were slim and the game passed me by. Knowing how Harvest Moon titles go and how popular Rune Factory became I figure it would be an unattainable ( sorry for the spelling) title. Fast forward to two days ago. I had returned some games for store credit and didn't know of a game I wanted right now so I went home with it. Yesterday I was online at work, like right now, and I looked through all of Gamestops games and came across Rune Factory. I was expecting it to be out of stock. I was happy to find that when I looked up my ZIP code that there was at least 1 at a mall close by. I quickly called and they had one last copy. I asked them to hold it for me and he did. I went home with a smile on my face when I brought back the game, also considering it was 30 instead of 50, and looked up the availability. That was the last game, in many stores, for at least 100 miles of me. I will be playing it alot and if anyone has any tips on it I would love to hear them.
I hope all is going well in the GS world. I miss playing online on Animal Crossing with friends and sending messages back and forth so let me know whats going on in your world.
Muramasa The Demon Blade came out today!!! I just want people to know this since Gamespot hasn't updated the date yet and it is officially in my collection. I have to wait to play it but the wait is killing me. Hope others have gotten it and are having fun. I'll let you know my thoughts on it later. word
So about 4 days ago I had a rep from Ignition's marketing company tell me that Muramasa The Demon Blade had an official release date of the 8th but it could come out sooner. I nearly passed out in excitement when I got the call from Gamestop's automated message system that Muramasa would be there tomorrow. I haven't had a good game release in a while and this will be it. I mean I have bought a few games since my last big buy but I'm very excited about this one. I will make sure to leave a review on it when I have completed both character paths.
I have also finally finished a few of my other games in which I am not playing anymore so I will take them off my list.
Also I have come back to playing Animal Crossing City Folk again. Not too much during the week but I would like to meet up with people again if anyone out there is still playing. Also if anyone wants to and they have an extra Metroid, I would love that.
I hope all is going well with everyone. Things have been rough the past month for me but I am glad to hear about everyone's first days of school, new game buys and just all around good things. keep sending them my way.
