I have been a gamer for most of my life. I have gone through the stages of Psone and N64, Then through the recent, but late, stages of Ps2 and Wii. But no game has caught my interest the way Civilization has. Sid Meiers you crazy crackhead. It's one of the best games ever made. (no offense sid) It's dificult? yes. It's fun? yes. It's new and a creative Idea? yes to me. It's briliant and very cutting edge gaming. Sure there are no Uber crazy graphics that make you wet your pants, but the game is unique and doesn't need all of the bells and whistles placed on more recent titles. I don't care that my basketball players can sweat like real people. I don't care that games are getting gorey and bloodier and more realistic. honestly the storyline is sacrificed for graphics and (i'm sorry) but I'm a story fan. Give me a good plot hole-less story and I'll go crazy and blow money on it. Now Civ doesn't have a real story, but that is because you make it yourself. If you want to be diplomatic... Boom you are. You want to kill everyone! Boom you did...or at least you hope you did. It's amazing and a much needed addition to anyone's game pile. I suggest everyone at least try the demo. If you like it you can buy it then. If you don't...oh well.
